As of Tuesday, Jerry Jones said there's no resolution in the talks with Terry Glenn about a split salary agreement.
While Jones said he does not have a hard deadline, he said, "It would be a surprise if we haven't made steps in the direction of having a decision before we get to Oxnard."
So that means Thursday morning is the non-deadline, deadline. Kind of.
The Cowboys have asked Glenn to accept a split salary of $500,000 should he re-injure his right knee this season. He is scheduled to make $1.74 million. Because the two sides did not reach an agreement, Glenn, who saw limited action in only one regular-season game in 2007 after two surgeries to the knee, did not take part in any of the organized team activities or the mini-camp in the off-season.
Even if Glenn accepts the agreement, there's a chance he could start camp on the physically unable to perform list. He would not be allowed to practice until passing a physical, but he could take part in meetings and rehab.
