The noise at Mall of America Field made an impression on Jerry Jones. Look for it to lead to changes at Cowboys Stadium next season.

"I got taught something there in Minnesota about how to coach up the defense to deal with noise,'' Jones said of the playoff loss. "We want one of those perfect records at our place, too.''

The Vikings were undefeated at home during the regular season and playoffs. The ability of the defense to anticipate the snap count in a loud environment is an advantage.

"That was a difference maker up there,'' Jones said. "I was visiting with Charles Haley and some of the guys and boy, they were talking about how the players can get off on defense is just different when you have that kind of edge.

"All I've got to say is I want to get me some of that.''

don't talk to Charles Haley about getting off lol

LOL, your best yet

as for the noise in Cowboys Stadium, good luck with that

take 100,000 Vikings fans and dress them in Cowboys gear and ship them off to Dallas if you want that to happen...

Really. This is news to him that a noisy crowd gives the home team an advantage? He won't get that at his place with the price of tickets and the wine and cheese crowd he covets.

No kidding, why wasn't this thought about during the design of the stadium?

It's are more important than dancers on stages around support beams.

Jerry, get a new RT.

What was that guy's name that made Colombo look like the second version of Rob Pettiti?

Last year it was the Wildcat and this year's wild hair in his *** is crowd
noise.

I can see it now. Stadium practices with the volume maxed out as the defensive starters beat up on second string offense.

Probably not a good idea for crowd noise...we'd have too many people running to the bathroom stalls

Everybody needs to remember that Cwboys Stadium will host the Super Bowl next year. So just immagine if Dallas can build up this crowd-noise advantage to furhter advance the team's home filed advantage. And then immagine if this team then goes on to win home-field advantage thruoghout the playoffs, including the Super Bowl. Laugh at Jones all you want about this; I applaud him for thinking of doing this.

I don't think Jerry is able to 1. Come up with a good idea & 2. Then actually do something constructive to achieve that end without having his ego or some creative marketing idea de-rail the idea.

The new stadium is a great case in point. The giant jumbo-tron is a great marketing idea, but IMO, takes from the game and the crowd noise. The big screen has a tendency for less enthusiastic fans to just stay in their seats and look up. What you want is the fans on their feet, looking down at the field. There were several posts from people here saying that fans behind them asked them to sit down during the game so they can see the screen.

If you want more energetic fans, you should design a stadium with that as your goal, rather then create one that is designed to allow fans to be passive and watch a screen.

Don't get me wrong, I lived on the otherside of I-30 from it and it is impressive, beautiful inside, and has some amazing facilities. Sometimes I think that as a pure football stadium it isn't the best.

This is why I love Jerry.

He does whatever he can to help make this team win.

"All I've got to say is I want me some of that." Great quote haha.

Like it or not, it wasn't built to be a pure football stadium. It was built to be a year-round tourist attraction and venue for a variety of events.

As far as crowd noise, Texas is psycho over football, but for some strange reason, fans at Cowboys games have always been docile compared to other stadiums. They did seem pretty loud early in the Eagles playoff game, but I was just watching at home.
