As a rookie with Atlanta in 1998 Keith Brooking made it to Super Bowl XXXIII only to lose to Denver in John Elway's final game.
Since then he has won only two playoff games in the last 10 years. Now in his 12th year, Brooking realizes he does not have many chances left. It's a message Brooking, Flozell Adams (12th year) and Jon Kitna (13th year) have delivered to their teammates this week.
"Not that you ever really take it for granted, but you realize how precious these opportunities especially with the team that we built here from our off-season conditioning all the way through our mini-camps and training camps, all the hard work we've put into it, it's all done and it's all come to a head to get in this position," Brooking said. "These moments are precious. There are a lot of teams right now that are sitting at home wishing and dreaming that they were in our position, so we have to take advantage of every opportunity and have absolutely zero regrets when you step on that field and leave it out there for your organization."
