DMN Blog: Keith Davis expected to start

Palmer won't be playing.

You think the Browns secondary is better than ours? I doubt it. THe Bungles had 6 points in the 3rd Q vs. the Browns.

Cowboys in a landslide...

I don't think the Browns play 12 yards of the LoS.

Well at least it's not like we're running Lynn Scott, Lance Frazier, and Tony Dixon out there
Throw in Carson Palmer's very bad Elbow and that Chris Perry is their starting RB, I think well be OK.

Well, like I said, with media distractions and some injury issues to deal with, at least we're not playing an NFCE opponent this weekend. Playing the Bungals couldn't have come at a better time.

Hopefully by the week after when we have to travel to AZ, all of our guys(Roy, Kosier, Watkins, etc) will all be back and healthy.

Did you even see the Carolina game?

yup. i also have every game since the half way through the 06 season on dvd's. KD isn't someone i want starting on defense...special teams i want 10 of him on the field

Read my post again-IF he can come in for a game(or 2) in any given season, then he'll step in and do an admirable job like any other decent backup would. However-if it's for an ENTIRE season, then you can fugget about it.

I think one game is to much.

Well-I thought he did fine against Carolina, as did most Zoners here.

Like I said-1 or 2 games would be fine, as long as it's not an NFCE opponent.

Well, I guess this isn't the week we play more man to man. We gotta protect Davis, so we'll likely play more soft zones.

Yipeeeee.

he was fine against carolina. he had his good and bad just like everybody else. he's not much of a drop off from bambi anyways.

With such low expectations, I can see Keith Davis with the team's first INT.

Uh, okay, maybe not.

one tackle......

We still held them to only 10 pts and some 200ish yards total offense.

Sometimes the stat sheets can be deceiving-he played fine. And like I said again-I would cringe if he's our starting safety every single game.

Fixed that for you.

Didn't Davis have one that he returned for a TD in that '07 Indy preseason game? Or do preseason stats not count either?

Keith Davis is not a starting quality NFL safety. Doesn't mean he couldn't have a great game though.

His play isn't so great but his attitude and passion are 2nd to nobody on the team.

If he brings half as much intensity on the D as he does on special teams, I could see this actually being a good move.

At times I wonder if players on the D even have a pulse.

Let us all bow our heads during this moment of great sorrow.

:laugh2:

Actually, I am way more comfortable with him as a SS instead of FS. As long as he remains as close to the line of scrimmage as possible, I think he will be fine.
