DMN Blog: Ken Hamlin fined $12,500

Celek had such a big game in the season finale, that when hamlin hit him it basically took him out of the game. He really had no impact the rest of the game

I will take that hit by Hamlin time and time again in a game.

Good on ya boy. :star:

Personally, I think that's bull****. I still don't see anything wrong with what Hamlin did.

Certainly not enough to warrant the much bigger a fine than the SOB that flagrantly hit Romo recently.

Well you did not see the aftermath - he knocked over Andy Reid's snack table....

The 12k is because he's been fined at least once before. If it was his first time it would only be $7500.

Thanks for the clarification....the hit on Patrick was much worse so was wondering why Fletchers fine was less.

I was peeved when i first saw the flag come in on Hamlin, but after the replay, that was a pretty good lick. Even though it was the shoulder pad and NOT helmet to helmet Chris Collinsworth!

Sounds about right. I figured he'd get a much larger fine then the one Clemons, or whoever, got for their BS hit on Romo.

That's fine though. I'll take the stupid fines like that, every day of the week, as long as we keep rolling, keep winning, and bring home another title.

Looking at the replay it looked to me that his forearm hit Celek in the chest and not the head.

As long as he plays like that in the right moments is fine by me. Atleast we weren't losing the game when he did that. Or tied.

It was worth it. Message sent. :D

Absolutely. Besides Hamlin has a phat regular season contract, they are just taxing his bonus.

This is the first year I've felt like this defense has had the perfect attitude, which is attitude. I like seeing guys get stomped on and spit on, slapped around, crushing hits.

Talking noise, intimidating folks. If we keep this attitude as a defense, we will have offenses shaking in their boots.

i dont know what worse, the fact that he got fined for that hit or that his fine was what i make in a year?
