If you're in San Antonio for training camp over the next few weeks, look for DeMarcus Ware and his custom-made Optibike.
Ware has one of the three Optibikes in Texas and he is expected to use the bike for his commute from the team's hotel to the Alamodome. Unlike in California when the players could roll out of bed and go to practice, they have to get on a bus - or drive their own car - to get to the Alamodome. Instead of being beholden to the bus schedule, Ware will have this bike.
OK, what is an Optibike? It's an electric bike. While it can be used as a traditional bike, a rider can flip a switch and the bike takes over, traveling up to 30 mph. It costs $7,000.
In an Optibike video, Ware said the bike has helped his conditioning in the off-season. And Ware's bike is complete with his number and Cowboys' colors.
