For a brief period of time Wednesday quarterback Tony Romo was knocked out of practice when a defender tripped over him and stepped on his left hand.

Romo appeared to have two fingers taped for precautionary reasons after being examined by head athletic trainer Jim Maurer. He took some snaps from center Andre Gurode before returning to work for the final parts of seven-on-seven and team drills.

Romo did not speak after the practice, but he had the cuts cleaned out. It didn't look to affect his play at all. Last year Romo dealt with a right thumb injury suffered late in the season.

Reminds me of that scene from "The Replacements" where #56 sacks Shane Falco and he's lying on the ground showing him his red jersey.

dance scene in jail? First I was afraid, I was petrified, Kept thinking I could never live, without you by my side....I will survive... :)

Who was that defensive player and when are they getting cut?:laugh2:

To me, minor just doesn't describe it. Our record setting QB gets his hand stepped on, fingers taped and cuts cleaned. Even when it amounted to nothing, that was a MAJOR scare.

:lmao2:

I bet it took 3 coaches to hold Jerry back from choking him.

That one gets my vote too.

Non-throwing hand made it minor to me. Sorry.

Still need both hands to take a snap and with the way Gurode likes to shotgun high, he needs as perfect hands as he can get. ;)

I don't think it takes two months to rehab a hand being stepped on.

IMO of course

Naturally I was joking about needing both hands to take a snap as if it would take a long time to rehab, however imo any injury to a franchise QB requiring taping and cleaning of cuts is a major scare. Until they did xrays or mri, for all they know he has torn ligaments that could require a cast.

To a Brett Favre fan like Tony, a "non-throwing hand" doesn't exist. :D

Panic much? :scream:
