Just noticed a book by former Dallas Morning News writer Bob St. John about the 1971 Cowboys on ebay and we recently had a story of a true blue Cowboys fan who had his stuff stolen, and it got me to thinking.

Recently my dad gave me a seat license in a frame from the first year of Texas Stadium (we grew up in Irving and got first dibs). We had season tickets for a while, so it brought back great memories. Heck, the 30-minute review of Super Bowl VI on my DVR is worth more to me than most of the stuff I've got.

What is your most valuable Cowboys item? I don't mean expensive, but important to you. Sorry in advance if the subject's already been addressed here.

I don't know really--coolest memory was knowing Walt Garrison as a kid and talking to him on a regular basis. I don't have any items that are that special really...?

I have quite a bit of Cowboys stuff, but I have a great picture of me wearing Preston Pearson's Superbowl ring with him and I together.

Very cool meeting him.

wow, don't know if I have a favorite. Have so many items. I have many packed away, so would need to bring them all out.

I do have a scrap book album of many old Cowboys pictures and articles, my brother put together and gave me as a birthday gift when we were kids. It was around the early 70's, after they beat the Dolphins in the SB, that following year. So I was about 13. Made mostly from Sport Magazine and Sports Illustrated, and The Sporting News.
I still have it boxed away.

I would like to add, now that I think about it, I have the three Washington Post from the Cowboys last three Superbowls, I'm pretty proud of that:D

I have a pair of silk Dallas Cowboys boxers that I got as a gift to make me feel better after that Cardinals playoff game loss.

I swore then and there that I wouldn't take them off until we won another playoff game.

They've held up well these past 12 years.

I have worn the same Dallas Cowboys hat for ten years (helped along by the popularity of the "worn in hat" look). Been through many days in the sand, sun and countless spins in the dishwasher. It will be a sad day when it finally draws it's last breath.

Authentic Cowboys helmet signed by Roger Staubach and Tom Landry. But probably most valuable TO ME would be my VCR collection of Cowboys games. (Which I need to transfer to DVD)

It would have to be my Dallas Cowboys Zippo. That thing has been through hell and back with me.

My wife had gotten my son's first Cowboys' jersey (Emmitt Smith-toddler size) framed for Father's Day a few years back...as of right now it's my favorite and is hanging proudly in my 'Boys Lair!!
