Keith Brooking signed a three-year, $6 million deal as a free agent with the Cowboys this off-season. A complete bargain.

Igor Olshansky signed a four-year, $18 million deal with $8 million guaranteed. Another cost-effective move.

Gerald Sensabaugh signed a one-year, $1.75 million deal. He's played well although is coming back from a broken thumb. Again, another solid move. And he will be a restricted free agent after this season if there is no CBA so he's under the Cowboys' control at least through 2010.

Brooking is second on the team in tackles to Bradie James with 55. He has a sack, two tackles for loss, three pressures and three pass deflections. He's also become this team's heart beat in many ways.

Olshansky might not be as heralded because 3-4 defensive ends don't put up great numbers but his 24 stops are second-most among linemen next to Jay Ratliff. He also has a sack and four pressures.

Sensabaugh has 26 tackles and a pass deflection so far. I think his better days are ahead and you're not seeing tight ends do as much damage vs. the Cowboys than they had in the past.

In the offseason I was led to believe that we let mega superstars like Canty, Burnett, Ellis, Roy Willie (yeah, I know) and keith Davis leave. And we only restocked the shelf with 2nd tier, stop gap talent.

Why am I so naive:rolleyes:

I wish our defensive draft picks would start fitting in and making a impact.

I think shows that Jerry is listening to Wade these players are here because of the Wade Phillips connection if Wade was some puppet these players would not be with us.

I'd be happy if they could just get out of the training room at this point.

I Stephen had more to do with this than Jerry.

Did you see Brooking was the first guy over there to congradulate Austin after the TD run, and how excited he was after 11 years in the league. Love this guy, and I bet he has a big game versus ATL win or lose.

Agreed.

Should have let JG go and brought in a real coordinator that is fiesty (like Gruden) and challenged his QB.

And of course kept TO, cut Hamlin, keep Roy and the Pacman.

Championship!

Losing Ellis hurt because we didn't address pass rusher until mid draft.

The guys we added were very wise moves it does seem.

Bad=Jerry

Good=everybody else

Not true. I think Jerry has done some good, but he has also done some bad. I just noticed that this particular offseason, Stephen seemed to have more of an input in the decision making.
