Linebacker Anthony Spencer was fined $5,000 for “grabbing opponent by facemask in attempt to tackle him,” on his sack of Jay Cutler.

Linebacker Keith Brooking was not fined for an unnecessary roughness penalty while bringing Cutler to the ground and Igor Olshansky was not fined for a roughing the passer penalty.

actually, yeah. If you get a personal foul you are usually fined. make the Brooking and Igor ones seem odd because it usually is an automatic

Man we can't catch a break from the officials. Game One decided by the Refs (deservedly so), Game Two a key call (Roy Williams forward progress) was missed, but they make sure they fine us for this missed call?

How about calling it even?

It's not the reason we're losing but the refs dang sure ain't helping.

Problem is it wasn't a personal foul. No flag was thrown.

They fined the play they missed and didn't fine the one that was called.

doesn't matter. it got sent to the league for review and it should have been a foul.

And a few others that truly deserve it, like when they grab hold and not just turn the head, but jerk the player around and down by it.

On top of the fact that there was no penalty or fine for grabbing Ware by the facemask.

And I doubt Harrison, Woodley, and the third Steeler that picked Vince Young up and proceeded to body slam him to the ground got fined. Officials just turn their head when the Steelers are playing.
