If their chances to attend are threatened they will fall in line.

All in all the games I have attended at Texas Stadium the security people seem to do a very good job about dealing with drunk trouble makers and escorting them out of the stadium

I just wish more people understood that when the offense has the ball ease up on the noise and when the defense is out there let them hear you.

Yep. True. But you know people will cross the line. Some of it is unruly (the link the J-E-T-S stuff posted in this thread, for example....) But booing other teams' fans? Eh. If I was attending a road game, I'd have the expectation of being booed.

I'm just glad the college game atmosphere is different. I can't imagine not standing up for the entire game, yelling/cheering...

If I wanted to sit and be quiet, I could do that for free. At home.

Oh well, different strokes, I guess...

Finally a new rule not based on the Cowboys or one of their players. Don't know about the rest of the NFL, but fan activity in Phlly is totally out of control--too often involving excessive drinking. When obnoxious fans feel it's their right to throw batteries off upper levels of the stadium at opposing teams, etc., it's long past the time when something should have been done. he fight, something must be done.

Never seemed to me that security personnel or whoever in charge of keeping the peace at Eagles stadium and elsewhere did as much as they could to stop problems except bring in a judge & jail who supposedly administered justice. Can't help thinking more security types roaming the stadiums, combined with repeated announcements of losing ticket privileges, being thrown out of the stadium, publicizing individuals' names, and/or facing heavy fines (starting at minimum of $500 or 5 days in jail for particularly outlandish acts) would get the job done.

OTOH, must admit I'm concerned the whole thing could go too far. Haven't been to an NFL game in many years but standing up and cheering for my team when they scored, etc., is what footballs all about. But I've heard some Cowboy fans who do that at Texas Stadium have been told to sit down. It's one thing if other fans upset cause they can't see the game; it's something else if a stadium security guy tells you standing up isn't allowed. Fans should certainly stand up and cheer their team, particularly when they make a great play, score a TD, etc. It's part of why football is the national sport.

I think unruly fans like the DTC, who brag that they turn over outhouses if opposing fans are in them, and Raiders fans who threaten other fans, etc. should not be allowed to attend. I have a friend who is a Chargers fan in the Oakland area. He has seen Raiders fans urinate on other teams fans. Women are more likely targets than men. Wonder why?

There's no place for that. I think they should face criminal charges in addition to losing their rights to come worship their team.

I highly doubt they will be able to enforce the no cussing rule. I highly doubt fans are going to say after an interception, oh shoot, that fudging QB should have hit his receiver, not the opposing DB. He has just cost us the game, what a nerd.

You know I really prefer the blue blood crowds of the '70s and '80s I guess thats before ALCAMOHOL was an officially sanctioned beverage. Used to you have to sneak a little flask but that was it, oh yeah and no tailgaiting as there is nowdays, hence "THE GAME" was more enjoyable to watch. I cant hardly even stand to go out there now bunch of drunk dumb ***** everywhere........ Thats why I have a 60" screen poolside now LOL

NFL UNVEILS NEW FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
Posted by Michael David Smith on August 5, 2008, 4:02 p.m.

The NFL announced today that it will implement a new fan code of conduct, and that fans who break the rules can be ejected from stadiums and barred from returning.

Fortunately, there’s nothing in the new rules that bans standing.

The league says it is attempting to crack down on behavior that “detracts from the gameday experience,” including:

– Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal.

– Drunkenness and signs of alcohol impairment that result in irresponsible behavior.

– Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.

– Interference with the progress of the game, including throwing objects onto the field.

– Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel.

– Verbal or physical harassment of fans from the opposing team.

There will no doubt be some fans who object to these rules, and some will be hard to enforce, but overall, these guidelines seem reasonable. Assuming that stadium personnel use good judgment in enforcing the rules, this new code of conduct should make life more pleasant for the million or so people who fill NFL stadiums each Sunday.

Im from Philly and my friend is an Eagle fan. In the Linc heres an expert he told me.

Eagle fans: Come the beep on, what the beep

Usher: Next person with vulgar language will be ejected

Eagles fan: Beep you,

Usher; walks away disguisted

This isnt one fan this is an entire section

Also, he went to the MNF game where Roy intectepted Mcnabb. In the parking lot, there one buddy who went with him was a Cowboys fan and an Eagle fan just walked up to him without saying anything punched him and ran.

I think security should be tighter in the parking lot than in the stadium. At least you have security if you get jumped in the stadium but outside your outnumbered 60000 to 5.

heres my take

1. Nobody should throw stuff at anybody. Once this happens with beer, popcorn etc they should be moved.

2. Language will be brutal and you have to know that coming in. Not that its right but it is what it is.

3. No physical contact

I think thats all you can do because stadiums are nuts.
