Nick Folk's confidence remains high

Since joining the Cowboys, Nick Folk has been seemingly automatic.
He made 26 of 31 field goal attempts as a rookie in 2007, including a 53-yarder to beat Buffalo in overtime, and made the Pro Bowl.
In 2008, he made 20-of-22 kicks with a 90.9 percentage, the third-best in team history. But so far this year he has missed four attempts, including a 38-yarder Sunday at Green Bay.
A couple of factors are in play here: Folk missed almost all of the off-season because of hip surgery and was only able to kick once training camp began. And he's working with a new holder in Mat McBriar, who has taken responsibility for two of the misses with poor holds.
Folk said he has no health issues and he is not suffering from a lack of confidence.
"There's a lot that goes into my off-season that people don't see necessarily and work on," Folk said. "I don't want to put any blame on anyone else. That was a tough deal. I just have to get it right from here on out and make a playoff run."
With David Buehler hobbled by a sore right pinky toe Folk could be asked to handle the kickoff duties for the first time this season. Buehler has 17 touchbacks on the season but has not had one in the last two games. Folk did not have a touchback last season.
"I know he's been getting a lot of treatment on it," Folk said. "He's trying his hardest to go but I don't know what his deal is. I've been ready every week so far."
Mike Jenkins takes part in full practice

Mike Jenkins missed some snaps Sunday at Green Bay after bruising his left biceps but he was able to make it through a full practice on Wednesday. Coach Wade Phillips said Monday he expected Jenkins to be able to play this week vs. Washington.
If he couldn't, then the Cowboys would be thin in the secondary with Ken Hamlin out with an ankle injury. Alan Ball is likely going to replace Hamlin but if Jenkins misses time then Ball would have to slide over to the nickel corner role.
Running back Marion Barber (thumb), safety Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb) and linebacker DeMarcus Ware (foot) took part in a full practice as well. As we mentioned earlier, kicker David Buehler (toe), Hamlin, Allen Rossum and Marc Colombo did not practice.
For the Commanders, defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (ankle), running back Clinton Portis (concussion) and tackle Mike Williams (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. It seems like Haynesworth will be available Sunday but Portis is likely to miss another game.
Running back Ladell Betts has an ankle injury but took part in a full practice.
