There was a lot riding on the regular-season opener at Cowboys Stadium last Sunday against New York, but Jerry Jones doesn't want that defeat to be the defining moment of the season.

"The opening of this grand stadium, it's appropriate to place the interest," Jones said. "What I would say .. is it would be a mistake to put too much emphasis relative to this team on the loss of that game. That wouldn't be right, that wouldn't be constructive and it really wouldn't be fair to this team at the time."

So there's no more pressure on the Cowboys in Monday's game vs. Carolina because of the loss to the Giants?

"No," Jones said. "We want to win our home games. We want to win them all. And this is, the Panthers, I have all the respect in the world for the Panthers, really do. So, no, the loss puts no more pressure."

FYI, Indianapolis lost its first two games at Lucas Oil Field last year before ripping off six straight home victories.

If the 'boys lost on Monday, we'd have fans on suicide watch and Romo & Co. would need military protection.
