DMN: BLOG: Not-too-premature 53-man roster projection

He doesn't have a gun, but I'd say his arm is slightly above average. That's just fine for a backup imo. I think he can eventually be very effective in the short and intermediate game. The thing I'm not crazy about Ainge is that he has zero mobility.

He's basically Brad Johnson, but a lot younger.

Ainge was pretty decent at Tennessee he's has the build of a NFL QB .

I don't think Rodney Hannah will make it to our practice squad. He had a really nice game against the Broncos and someone will snap him up, unless we find a "creative" way to hide him.

I would much rather go with 9 OL and pick up a 3rd QB. Also, I think Walden beats out Justin Rogers and I think Amendola makes the team.

I think Dowayne Davis makes the 53. I also think that there will be another OLB & OL added after cuts, perhaps a 3rd QB too.

I think a few of those guys on your 53 will be trade bait. My 2 cents:

TE Curtis (Rodney Hannah has more upside)
OL Marten (more suited for a zone blocking scheme)
OL McQuistan (see above)
CB Oglesby (his TC pub should get some bites)
WR Jefferson

Ball will not make PS, if he is even eligible. I would add him to the trade bait list.

OLB Walden will be on the PS. DE Dixon and WR Bradford should make the PS.
