** Everybody saw what Gerald Sensabaugh means to this defense. He was all over the field. He did an excellent job on Tony Gonzalez but he had two other "big" plays in my view that went unnoticed. He broke up a short pass to Verron Haynes in the first half and then he dropped Eric Weems short of a third down when the score was 10-7. He seems to have a knack for the big play.

** Bobby Carpenter earned Wade Phillips' praise on Monday. The coach said Gonzalez didn't catch a pass on Carpenter all day. Carpenter was aggressive on him at the line of scrimmage and he kept his feet active. Before the snap Carpenter would start running in place so he wouldn't be at a standstill, allowing him to stay with Gonzalez. He was so focused on Gonzalez once, however, he let Jason Snelling slip outside for a long run.

** It sure looked like there was a lot of confusion on Atlanta's last touchdown. Stephen Bowen was standing up at the snap. DeMarcus Ware was stuck in the middle of the field. Sensabaugh looked out of sorts. And Weems, who was lined up in the backfield, broke free for an easy touchdown pass from Matt Ryan. It didn't look like the Cowboys got the fourth-down call in on time, which was an issue vs. New York earlier.

** Did John Abraham play? He was lost in coverage twice vs. Jason Witten and Martellus Bennett. He didn't really sniff Tony Romo, which means Flozell Adams had a good day. But Abraham flipped sides too and didn't do much vs. Marc Colombo either.

** Patrick Crayton's punt return was a thing of beauty but Deon Anderson might have gotten away with a block in the back on Tony Gilbert. Tight end John Phillips did a great job of shielding Kroy Briermann and Terence Newman lit up Jason Snelling to spring Crayton free.

This guy has the ability to be a difference maker. Hopefully he continues to play that way. Looks like he loves hitting people. Secondaries and defenses can never have enough of that.

I saw Scandrick on Gonzales several times. He got beat once and knocked down a pass intended for Gonzales once as well.

Scandrick was pretty solid, but his performance was lost (and probably rightfully so) due to the way Jenkins played.

i absolutely loved Roy Williams (SS) and still do think he's a good player, and i was a big defender of his and was really upset to see him go.. but that said, i'm incredibly excited about how well Sensabaugh has been playing and i'm really happy to have him on the team..

Oh so wait. It wasn't Ken Hamlin's fault? You know he's to blame everytime an opposing team scores on us.

Roy got a tough break here in the latter end of his career. But Sensabaugh has been a beast. On par with how good Roy was his early years playing alongside Woody.

Carpenter always seems to be running in place and away from contact.

Give Red some credit for Abraham. In the past couple of years we would've just sent Flo one-on-one with Abraham. That did work in the past. This year doesn't seem to be the same case and they doubled Abraham from the get-go be it with tailbacks rubbing him, an extra TE or using Kosier. They kicked his arse up and down the field all game long and Flozell did a nice job as well. But they took a lot of pressure off of Flo on a guy I don't think he could've handled one-on-one like he did in the past.

Weird. All I kept reading last week was how Flozell was going to be torched by Abraham.

Is there a less appreciated player in the NFL than Flozell Adams, when he's healthy? All I see from a healthy Flozell is the ability to consistently shut down the other team's best pass rusher.

I'll gladly trade that for one false start every other game. The way people talk about him, you'd think he picks up a false start every other drive.

I think you were joking, but nice of you to turn a little Carpenter praise into a bash.

GS reminds me so much of George Teague, who I think was a vastly underrated safety and who played pretty well for us...

I wouldn't sign him to a huge deal just yet, but so far he seems to be a significant asset...

me likey...

It's nice having a Safety who can cover TE's instead of watching TE's run up and down the field on us.

I hope his aggression sets an example for the other safeties. In fact, Jenkins is starting to hit pretty good too. They ought to have a friendly rivalry in the clubhouse for the biggest hit by a DB. I forget the team that used to do it.

It was hilarious to watch if you didn't see it. He kept doing it over and over. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed for the guy.
