Safety Gerald Sensabaugh will have his broken right thumb surgically repaired and could miss up to four weeks. Sensabaugh suffered the same injury in college and missed one game. This break is at the same spot of where the plate is and will have to be repaired. Pat Watkins will take over for Sensabaugh.

Nose tackle Jay Ratliff suffered a back strain but Wade Phillips did not seem to concerned about it.

Also, center Andre Gurode was carrying an MRI folder through the locker room but Phillips was unsure of Gurode's injury.

If you're looking for a reason why Marion Barber played only seven snaps in Sunday's loss at Denver, look at his left quadriceps.

Wade Phillips said Barber's quad tightened up in the second half after carrying 10 times in the first two quarters. However, after the game Jerry Jones said he was not told of anything bothering Barber by the medical staff and in his post-game press conference Phillips said he was not sure why Barber didn't get more work in the second half.

Phillips said Barber was going better today than he was a week ago after sitting out of the Carolina game.

Phillips did not have an update on Felix Jones, however, his sprained PCL is likely to keep him out until after the Oct. 18 bye week.

In the postgame interview clip, when RW was asked if he would be OK for the next game, he answered yes. Other than that, I haven't heard anything.

This comment would be comical if it weren't so utterly sad and pathetic. You're the HEAD COACH, FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!! You notice that your beast of a running back isn't in the game and not being featured in critical situations down the stretch.

It doesn't dawn on you that Marion Barber is out? You don't think to ask why?

Do you think Jimmy Johnson wouldn't ask "Why isn't Emmitt out there?" You don't think Cowher would ask "Why isn't Bettis out there?" You don't think Shanahan would ask "Why isn't Terrell Davis out there?"

Williams' status for the Kansas City game is up in the air _ which, come to think of it, is why he's in this situation.

Phillips said Monday that Williams bruised the cartilege in three of his ribs on the hit and that he doesn't know if he'll be able to play against the Chiefs. Safety Gerald Sensabaugh had the same injury earlier this season and was able to play. The difference: Sensabaugh only had to deal with the pain from one rib, not three.

103.3 just said 3 bruised ribs and status is in question for KC. They also said, Wade said it's cartllage damage so i guess our crack staff isn't rightly sure.

Coach Wade Phillips revealed Monday that Roy E. Williams damaged cartilage in three of his ribs during the Cowboys' Week 4 loss.

Williams' status for Week 5 is in doubt, and the Cowboys could hold him out with a bye coming in Week 6. Williams' ribs are not cracked, but he's likely in a considerable amount of pain. The $54 million receiver is on pace for just 44 catches and 856 yards through four weeks. Should he miss a game, Sam Hurd would see more snaps opposite the Pat Crayton/Miles Austin rotation.

Played only seven snaps? Barber had 11 carries and two catches.

Did he mean seven snaps in the second half?
