Patriots-Giants makes network cut

The NFL Network will share Saturday night's Patriots-Giants game with CBS and NBC.

The game will be simulcast on all three networks. All of America will have access to a game that had been the exclusive property of the cable-challenged NFL Network.

I'm torn between wanting the Giants to beat them so that they don't go 16-0 and wanting them to win so the Cowboys can make them the first team to go 16-0 and yet end up being tagged a loser team that couldn't finish with the Cowboys beating them in the SuperBowl. :)

I like the Cowboys being the team who drops them. But I'll be pulling for the Giants like most of America will be. :lmao2:

I'm hoping that the NFL is realizing that it made a huge blunder by broadcasting regular season games on its network BEFORE having agreements with the major cable companies. They should have waited until they had those agreements in place before having exclusive broadcasting on their network.

Weird. Does anyone know if the Giants are going to play everyone? If they don't, this could be one of the most boring games in history, and nothing but a three-hour-plus coronation.

I have a feeling the Giants will play their starters to try and accomplish what no one else has done. I do think the key will be if the giants can put the pressure on Brady and the ability to run the ball on the Pats.

Think about it. The Giants cannot improve their playoff position. I think they will rest their stars since they have to play the next week.

I honestly want to see the Pats win for the simple purpose of having added pressure into the playoffs. You look at a prime example, the '85 Bears, who got a gut check against Miami and then went on an *** whoopin spree into the playoffs to the SB. I dont want to see that with the Pats. I want them to think every thing's on their side and get checked in January when it counts.

Game will also be on NBC and CBS per ESPN. It will be on in every market in the country apparently.

I think the NFL thought they could bully the cable companies into a pro-league deal if they had exclusive rights to certain games. Seems to have backfired a tad.

Cable - 1
NFL - 0

In this high-stakes game of chicken, the NFL blinked first. I'm surprised. Making anti-trust threats apparently got some people worked up?

They'd probably not be so excited of the possibility of a 10-1 Pack vs 10-1 Boys getting more ratings than an undefeated Colts/Pats, thus proving we(and the Pack) are still>>>>>than the Cheats.

Or, they could've just been using us as collateral. :(

When is the game? Thursday or Sunday?

I heard about it on the radio on the way to workout.

I am pretty happy that I get to watch it. Hopefully they are not playing when the Cowboys play.

I doubt if I watch even a quarter, unless there's some major injury that I wouldn't be able to look away from. ;)
