** The NFC had the early practice today at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. And it was shorter than Wednesday's which made the players happy. I'd say the session ran about 55 minutes or so. About 25 minutes shorter than Wednesday.

** Blitzing is against the rules in the Pro Bowl, but two funny stories here: DeMarcus Ware threatened to blitz once, which had Wade Phillips telling him that was against the rules and Dave Campo saying, "Don't be showing them all our stuff," meaning Cowboys' stuff.

And to close the practice all but two NFC defenders came after the quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, who hit San Francisco tight end Vernon Davis on a deep ball.

** Philadelphia wide receiver DeSean Jackson was also an accomplished baseball player and he showed off his arm on a throw to Miles Austin.

** Michael Irvin is here with NFL Network and reliving his glory days. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School and donated money to help build an athletic facility that I've been told his better than some NFL teams. He interviewed his ex coach, George Smith, who is a legend down here.

** Funniest moment: A Tony Romo throw went through Roddy White's hands and banged off Asante Samuel's helmet. So hard was the throw that it jarred the mic Samuel was wearing free.

** Funniest moment, part 2: Jackson lost a deep ball in the sun from Donovan McNabb and as he attempted to get away the ball hit his feet.

Thanks for the updates. It's always fun to read your stuff.

:laugh2:

So Ware is essentially playing in the Pro Bowl in a 4-3, and as playing outside linebacker, cant blitz?

Wow. He's going to drop back in coverage the whole game. How fun.

Hopefully Wade lets him slide to DE for several snaps.

Rag arm.

He doesn't have the arm strength to play QB in the NFL.

Unless your name is Brad Johnson, in which case you seriously have NO strength, arm strength is the most overrated quality for any NFL quarterback.

You have to be accurate, have a quick enough release, and have a good pocket presence.

Isn't that the 2nd time that a Romo pass bangs off of Samual's face?
