For the second straight day the Cowboys will practice at Standridge Stadium in Carrollton because of the soggy conditions.

This is a big installlation day with the third-down packages on offense and defense. Wednesdays are usually mostly about the running game.

The Cowboys won Super Bowls without an indoor facility but this has to be a hassle to hop on a bus and go to different places. At some point, I'd think they would practice at the new stadium but it's not available this week. And they need to build a new indoor facility at Valley Ranch after the old one collapsed on May 2.

Owner and GM Jerry Jones said a new indoor facility is still in the planning stages.

"It's not something we've made a decision on relative to when," Jones said Wednesday. "I think that's where we are. It's a little unfortunate we've had as much rain as we've had, but we've had years when we've had this kind of weather and practiced outside and done very well and so I don't think it's material relative to preparing our team."

Another day, another bus ride off the facility so the team can practice.

My guess is at least once this week, the Cowboys would have preferred to practice in their nice, new stadium rather than Carrollton's Standridge Stadium. The problem is the team can't use the stadium in Arlington because of the upcoming Star Wars concert.

That makes sense. You don't want Allen Rossum tripping over R2D2 as he tries to field a punt.

And yes, Tony Romo is taller than a Ewok. But just barely.

that star wars show looks pretty cool, I was going to take my son.

So the Cowboys' stadium isn't available to them to practice on this week

wonderful.

Clarence Hill asked about practicing there yesterday, and Jerry looked at him like he was insane. Then he gave him a little joking verbal beatdown for even asking such a ridiculous question.

It is pretty insane that the team the stadium was supposed to be built for can not even use it. There is something going on there everyday.

Its one of the reasons I am not a big fan of the place, football seems to be way down the list of things it was intended for.

to bad the better place wasnt available still down 183

Reporter: Wade, are you disappointed, as your team prepares for the conference championship game against the Vikings, that you can't use your home stadium for practice?

Wade: Well, you know, obviously we would have preferred to use our stadium. But the Little Miss Sunshine pageant is being held there this week, and the Arlington public school system has some fantastic venues, so we'll make the best of it.

Yes it is.

I'm not even a hardcore Jerry hater, but more and more I think the only reason Jerry is involved with this team at all is to make money.

Does he want to win? Sure he does. But mainly because he makes more money then.

pull a tarp over the hole at Texas Stadium and practice over there.
