Barry Horn just called to report that the Oakland Raiders will be the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day opponent.

He also said the Cowboys won't be in a prime-time slot in Week 1. They'll have a Sunday afternoon game on the road.

More coming later ...

The Sunday Night opener will be Green Bay and Chicago.

Talk about a "who cares?" opener.

Pats-Bills in Monday Night opener

Boston Herald is reporting Pats and Tom Brady will take on T.O. and the Bills in the ESPN Monday Night Football opener.

I'll go on record as saying Pats win by 14 and T.O. will have three catches for 15 yards with no touchdowns. (Just like old times.)

Plenty of speculation about when the Cowboys will open the new stadium.
Week 2 looks pretty good, but my man Barry Horn believes the Rangers schedule will cause some problems.

To quote a former Cowboys player: "It's the Rangers, dude."

Yes, it will be a traffic nightmare. So that means we have to leave for the game at 9 a.m.

But I believe in the Arlington PD.

“AFL 50TH” DOUBLEHEADER LAUNCHES MNF SCHEDULE
Posted by Mike Florio on March 23, 2009, 4:16 p.m.

Breaking from a recent trend that featured two teams from the NFC and two teams from the AFC in the Week One Monday night doubleheader, the league is turning over the evening to the old AFL.

The evening begins with the Bills traveling to New England, and it concludes with the Raiders hosting the Chargers.

For the games, the teams will wear their AFL throwback uniforms.

ESPN will televise both games, beginning at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

Patriots-Bills, Packers-Bears and Titans-Steelers.

That's a pretty dull series of prime time games to open the season.

Anytime you can get two charismastic coaches together like Cable and Phillips, it's huge.

I was really hoping that we would get the best of the AFC West late in the season and the Raiders early on, oh well, cant have everything.
The AFC West is in for a beat down in 09!, and by mid november should be beat up pretty good.
Donks, KC, Al Davis, and SD dont even know what they are in for.
That division is going to see some physical play unlike anything they have seen the past few seasons.

I will be filling my stomach with turkey and stuffing and watch the Cowboys rail the Raiders 35-10..Felix outrushes McBust and Ware gets 4 sacks against Khalif Barnes while breaking Jamarcus's leg(if he's even starting by then).

Plus you have the Battle of the Als.

:laugh2:

That was my second thought.

The cameras will cut back and forth between the two skeletons ... the foggy, ghostly images slightly concealed by the tinted windows in the stadium.
