Ranking the candidates

The candidates: Positives: Negatives

1. Norv Turner: Excellent offensive coach; Has a bad overall record

2. Wade Phillips: Strong defensive coach; Lacks a strong presence

3. Mike Singletary: Players would respect him; Uncertainty if he could do it

4. Jason Garrett: Bright offensive mind; Never been a coordinator

5. Gary Gibbs: A good defensive coach; Players might not respect him

6. Todd Bowles: Players like him; Never been a coordinator or head coach

7. Tony Sparano: Has called plays before; Considered a offensive line coach

8. Todd Haley; Knows the offense; Bill Parcells wannabe

I voted for Wade Phillips, he's the most successful HC on the list, and the answer to our 3-4 woes, but since it doesn't look like we'll hire him, I want Singletary

I went back and edited the choice on the polls...

Someone needs to alert Mr. Watkins that Todd Haley is now employed with the next great dynasty that is the Arizona Cardinals...

I debated whether to include him in the poll...but I didn't want to deter any one their inherent right to bash the media. :p:

Only thing I hate is that I forgot to make the poll public. And now I can't do it.

My first choice would be Lovie but of course, he is not available.

I'm throwing in my write-in vote for Rivera.

If I can only choose from those listed, I guess I would go for Phillips and then Singletary but I vote for Ron Rivera unless Lovie can somehow come available.

;)

You could add Caldwell and Rivera to the list and start a new thread - with a public poll.

Two things...

1) Neither Caldwell nor Rivera have interviewed. Only the people interviewed were included.

2) I don't want to. :)

LOL. You guys are like Jerry Jones. Mike Singletary, unqualified, but still the flavor of the day. LOL

#2 works for me :)

My thoughts exactly.

Well, I guess I'm gonna have to go Green Party then. I like Lovie. I want that guy. If I can't have him, I want Rivera. I would like that guy. If I can't have him, well, in the imortal words of Smokey, "I got Debo right where I want him. He tells me to shut up, I shut up, but when he leaves, I start talking again.

:D
