Montrae Holland isn't going anywhere. We ave Denver a 5th last year for him and the guy was solid when put into play. He's most likely going to challenge Kosier for the starting spot at LG along with Brewster. McQ gets the axe before Holland.

I don't see any competition for the starting job.

Kosier is too under-rated here. He is a solid starting guard. We saw the difference with him out of the lineup. I don't see why everyone is constantly trying to replace him. He may not be sexy; he may not have pedigree; he may not have nastiness; he may not have freakish size/strength.

But the guy gets the job done. I don't think either Holland or Brewster can beat out Kosier if he regains his form after a full recovery.

I have noticed a few people saying Stanback can contribute on special teams, but just because he does it doesn't mean he does it well. He has 0 wiggle when it comes to special teams. I can only remember one one back last year that was good. The rest of them he seems like a pile magnet, especially when he kinda just jumps into the pile.

True, Stanback didn't electrify the audience with many of his run backs. But still, I think M Johnson is really going to have to show something because he doesn't play STs (as I understand). But maybe he can return kickoffs and punts? I don't know. It's not that I don't want him on the roster, but basically as the 5th WR, which he likely would be, he has to show something really special, IMO, to make the team without playing STs.

Now, if he's really, really good in the slot, for example, maybe he edges out Stanback and T Wilson.

I think what will probably help M Johnson the most, though, is that Stanback may unfortunately get injured. I don't trust his shoulder.

Agree on everything you say about Kosier. As dead on about him as it's going to get. The key word is challenge in training camp, not take the starting job away from him. Holland is a good backup and will be even better this year going through a training camp with us and having the game experience from last year. To cut him would be idiotic, unless he gets out of shape.

The reporter claims we would save $2 million by doing so. Maybe so but Cory Procter's tender is not much less and Holland is leaps and bounds better than Procter. I have no confidence in Procter in games but I do with Holland.
