The Cowboys have a couple home games coming up against 2-8 teams, so fans and media might want to fast forward to an 8-4 record and tough December schedule. The Cowboys can't afford to do that, and Wade Phillips has a pretty good letdown preventative measure.
"We lost to St. Louis," Phillips said. "That's all I have to say as far as our team is concerned."
And San Francisco actually has a little momentum under boxers-wearing interim coach Mike Singletary. The 49ers are coming off a rout of the Rams and might have beaten NFC West-leading Arizona the previous game if not for some awful last-minute clock management and play-calling.
The Seahawks have QB Matt Hasselbeck back. And, of course, Julius Jones will have a whole bunch to prove on Thanksgiving Day.
