Coachable WR Roy Williams said a couple of weeks ago that he hadn't cut yet due to the foot injury that nagged him most of last season. He did indicate that the issue with the foot was more of a mental thing than physical pain at that point.

Well, he apparently isn't worried about the foot anymore. Williams played in a ex-UT star Michael Huff's charity basketball game over the weekend in Austin, where several NFL players gathered for the spectacle that is the Texas Relays.

Maybe the foot was Williams' excuse for getting dunked on by some dude who played at Texas-Arlington. ***BANNED-URL*** correspondent Martellus Bennett reported the vicious dunking on Twitter and claims to have video of the play. (Marty B, a pretty good basketball player at Texas A&M who really believes he has NBA potential, also claims that he was the game's MVP.)

If Williams' foot is healthy enough to hoop, running routes for Tony Romo isn't an issue anymore.

Tim's own stupid agenda - can't stop wanking about TO.
I think he's referencing the fact that Roy Williams constantly calls himself "coachable."

Alright, let's clear this up. Martellus SUCKED as a basketball prospect. The guy averaged 1.7 points in 5.8 minutes per game.

He was a good player in HIGHSCHOOL, which is fine and dandy, but this idea that he was some basketball god stopped there. Once he got to the level of play where everyone is 6'7" 200lbs, he couldn't see the court.

Maybe it was because he played football and couldn't practice as much as the Basketball recruits. They got full scholarships from the school too. If the talent levels are equal the PT will go to the guy who doesnt screw over two teams if he gets hurt.

He might not have been the second coming of Michael Jordan but that doesnt mean he sucked either.

Really? UNC had both Julius Peppers and Ronald Curry playing hoops at the same time, when they were also playing football. Each ended up in the NFL so I don't know that it's always as you explain. I think it depends on the athlete and the program but as far as Round Ball goes, it doesn't get much better then Carolina in college hoops.

Thanks to reader JB, who hooked us up with the YouTube of coachable WR Roy Williams getting dunked on during Michael Huff's celebrity basketball game this weekend in Austin.

The dunker was Texas-Arlington's Marques Haynes, who starred at Irving High. Williams realized as soon as he left his feet that he was about to get posterized, so he hung his head in shame mid-air. Sort of symbolic of the Cowboys' last game, huh?

Sorry if this is a repost.

I don't think it's posterized. He never even stayed up to try and block the dunk.

And I am glad he didn't. The last thing we need right now is him getting hurt in a charity basketball game.

That's Romo's favorite quote.

It's worse than being posterized, he ducked his head and tried to get out of the poster.
