And people wonder why the 'Roy haters' feel they need to explain themselves.

Exactly. There are like 5 posts above which can be labeled as 'confrontational'.

That's called having a complex, lol.

well that's what happens when 1 stupid argument lasts a whole off-season. people on both sides have a very short fuse.

i'd hug a dwarven monkey for a deadhorsezone and move the top 3-5 deadhorses in there and give us a forum of sanity back.

fyi - those who harp on roy day in and day out for things they cannot directly control - that's called an obsession.

great. now that crappy song is in my head! AAAAAAAAAA!!! : )

I have a complex because I'm confrontational?

Maybe I need one of Roy's cookies.

Excuse me, I need to find the song Kumbaya on youtube. My complex needs simplifying.

Dude, I hear ya. I am trying. I know I post some Roy stuff, but I am also trying to find some other stuff. I have a video of some WR stuff from the Blitz I am going to post in a little while.

Then maybe we can all get back to arguing about whether it's going to be Hurd, Stanback, Austin or the ever lovable Danny Amendola who steps up this season.

i'm sure it's too little to late. the ones who hate roy now just harp on anything he does. he's there now - big deal. he missed the last 3 so now it's all a focus issue.

they make it up as they go.

You do realize that most of the fans (like myself) who are tired of Roy's whining, lack of accountability and sub-par play would LOVE to see him shut us all up? I want him to have his best season ever. This "hater" thing is nonsense. It's all about us seeing some guys play with heart and working hard while Roy points fingers and, by many accounts, doesn't put extra time in the film room. There is no need to be a Roy defender. We're all Cowboys fans and want Cowboys players to play well so the Cowboys can win their 6th SB. Roy bashing may be getting old, but let's not act like it's just some hate thing and not based on this player's actions.

Just out of curiosity Iceberg, why does it bother you so much to see a topic discussed ad nauseum?

Personally, I just enjoy the Cowboys and football so much that I don't mind talking about the same topic over and over again.

Me and a co-worker who I just talked into joining this site 2 weeks ago talk Cowboys all the time and just about every discussion is about Roy Williams.

I say bring on the polemical issues all day, at the least it makes the workday go by quicker.

you do realize that most of us agree with fans (like yourself) that roys done too much talking and not enough playing and in the end you wind up arguing with people who agree with your main point but don't go down the rat-holes that serve the person, not the situation?

we ALL want him to have his best season ever.

it *is* a hate thing cause all the whining in the world in here won't help roy or get him gone faster. logic is replaced by emotional letdown and hate sets in and makes many people just not very reasonable.

given all that, i'd love roy to shut the whiners up. if he does, they simply change targets, however.

and you'd be wrong. i, like many, come in, vent at being tired of it then go away for a few days. if i go away for a few days, that's a good 6-10 threads about roy i'm not in at all.

I like that song, but can it cure like Kumbaya can?

Cannot be certain. But we'll know if we see iceberg and abersonc skipping together and smelling the flowers.

I don't think "hate" is the right word. Frustration and wanting to snap him out of wherever his head seems to be at times is more the sentiment, in my opinion. I certainly don't hate him, just tired of his BS and simply want him to dedicate himself to what he gets paid millions to do. Oh, and for those who bring up that he's a good person or whatever....who cares?! I know lots of good people, but I don't root for them to break up a pass on Sunday. If a player is a good guy, that's great. It would be nice if they all were choirboys, but they're football players and I'd rather hear about a guy being a gym rat or staying after hours to study film rather than "having found God". As a person, I hope we all become better people, but as a fan I want players to be the best players they can be.

i think the emotional frustration gets to hate and those there simply won't let go of anything that feeds the ... "emotional uncertainty" if that's more PC.

but when you dog on a player for missing optional practices 3 months before any real practices will start and don't really care MANY missed it last year - what else is it?

isn't it possible to "find God" AND spend time at the gym? those mad at roy won't let you hear the good stuff he's doing or trying to do cause they yell HE SUCKS a lot and quite passionately. they assume doing one means not doing the other and the world just isn't that extreme.

sorry - after awhile it does go from frustration to hate and things that just don't matter about anyone else are suddenly the worst thing roy can do. they expect to see roy fail, so he will in their eyes cause of the twist factor.
