Wait, I thought we were the ones on the verge of implosion?...
Owners don't have to honor contracts, why should players?starfrombirth;2116634 said:Whatever happened to playing your contract?
Wasn't that what the New Yorkers expected...for us to have these types of issues?! Keep rockin' the boat, Plax, champs one year, chumps the next!!!Chocolate Lab;2116684 said:Wait, I thought we were the ones on the verge of implosion?...

It's a good idea, but with this one, the devil is in the details...TheSkaven;2116835 said:Owners don't have to honor contracts, why should players?
I think the existing system is very equitable, like a play for performance. Players who don't perform get cut, regardless of contract. That's a good thing. Players who outperform their contracts squabble with management and apply some pain until they get paid. Also a good thing.
The only other equitable situation would be players who play their contract out to the letter, and owners who abide the same. I don't think anyone on this board wants guaranteed contracts.
