For all the huffin' and puffin' going on each night at 10:25 p.m. on Ch. 8, at least the Cowboys don't take much of it seriously. Jerry Jones probably loves it when Dale Hansen cracks wise. And now we know that Stephen isn't afraid to get in on the act, as evidenced by this report from our own Jeff Mosier:

Dallas Cowboys executive Stephen Jones had some fun Tuesday with the ongoing hostility between WFAA-TV (Channel 8) sports anchor Dale Hansen and team owner Jerry Jones. Stephen Jones, who was speaking at the University of Texas at Arlington Business Week Executive Dinner, said he assumed that Jerry Jones was the first choice for speaker, but he said his father was busy.

"This was his night for him and Dale having an anger management class," Stephen Jones said, getting thunderous applause and laughter that make a stand-up comic envious.

He also joked that Hansen gave him tips on what to say Tuesday night, such as comparisons between Stephen Jones and Cowboys coach Wade Phillips, son of famed coach Bum Phillips. The faux list of similarities ended with Stephen Jones quoting Hansen as saying that Phillips' father is named Bum and Stephen Jones' father is a bum.

Why because he says negative things about Jerry and the team, that more than likely come true and are accurate after all it's not real hard to predict Jerry's patterns! I know he was always there behind the scenes, seems like this year he is being more visible and vocal.

I have to change the channel sometimes when that arrogant sob comes on. I can't recall ever seeing a local sports guy who is so over-the-top full of it...and himself.
One day, he went on a complete rant on the radio about what complete losers anyone was that wore sandals (of any kind)...how those people could not possibly be successful in life, etc. He was not joking. He said it was huge pet peeve of his and irritated him tremendously. He also went off on people who wear shorts. Comical. Are you kidding me!

None the less I don't care one way or the other about Hansen. He's a nobody that doesn't mean a thing to, well, anything.

Let him spout off and be him. He provides some funny moments to laugh at him that way.

Holy crap. I jumped your *** (type the word out, don't do what you did)? I asked you a very simple question. He said he hated the man and explained why. It wasn't necessary to make up crap for why. Drama? Wasn't much until you blasted me and I responded. Sorry I didn't really buy that he loathed Hansen because of what his neighbor says. I guess he could've responded on his own but he chose to let you respond for him I guess.

Face it, if Hansen got on the news and kissed Jerry's butt everytime he wouldn't have near the haters on this board that he does whether he's obnoxious or not!
