We just got off the conference call with Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith, and he doesn't expect to be seeing much of Orlando Scandrick Monday at Cowboys Stadium.
Scandrick struggled in his first start of the season against the New York Giants, against their Steve Smith and Mario Manningham. I also had him for four missed tackles, which was surprising because he's normally a sound tackler.
"Ah, well, 32 I remember 32 because they've been playing him on ESPN pretty frequently," Smith said laughing. "I'm just being honest ... I'm not sure exactly about him by the scouting report we go, he probably won't be in because he's being played repeatedly on the rotation on ESPN, so I would expect Jenkins to play a little more than him."
I think Scandrick will bounce back from that game, but Smith is at least right this week because Mike Jenkins will start. And it's possible Terence Newman could follow him all over the field like he's done a times in the past.
"I like Terence Newman," Smith said. "He's a competitor. I think he's a great guy. I respect him. I think with a guy like that, playing against Terence I really have to pay attention and be on point. I can't have any mistakes because he'll take advantage of it."

We would love to share with you some of Tony Romo's thoughts entering Monday's game against Carolina, but the quarterback did not make time for the media on Thursday.
He normally talks on Wednesdays but with the Monday game, this was supposed to be his day. Now, there's always Friday and Saturday for him to talk.
The only time I remember Romo not talking came a couple years ago when he was rehabbing from an injury.
