Week 1 is over thanks to a win over the Browns and let's go over some things.

Stock up

1. Tony Romo. Threw for 320 yards and had a quarterback rating of 103.6

2. Felix Jones. With Marion Barber on the sideline with bruised ribs, Jones took over and averaged 6.9 yards a carry.

3. Patrick Crayton. Who needs a veteran receiver? Crayton finished with six catches for 82 yards.

4. Marion Barber. Before he got hurt, Barber was flying around out there.

5.Secondary. With Terence Newman out, the secondary played its you know what off. Anthony Henry, Roy Williams, Adam Jones, Orlando Scandrick, Pat Watkins and Mike Jenkins didn't allow any deep completions. The longest completion was for 18 yards.

Stock Down

1. Adam Jones. Was called for a pass interference penalty and fumbled a punt.

2. Bradie James. The man had 130 tackles last season and didn't get any on Sunday.

3. Nick Folk. The Browns didn't have their best return man in Joshua Cribbs, and yet he had only one kick to the end zone and no touchbacks. Has to do better.

4. Richard Bartel. Hate to say this, but he's on the verge of getting cut thanks to Brooks Bollinger's pending arrival.

5. Penalties. Cowboys had 11 of them.

The PI was good as he did it on purpose to prevent the TD. The bad side was he got beat and it would have been a TD.

As for the fumbled punt, maybe they need to kick him six at a time. :D

I think the PI was particularly bad because he wouldn't have caught the ball since it was thrown so high. Of course, there's no way for Adam to have known that when he began his ... umm ... tackle.

Bradie James played a decent game. There is more to tackling. Every time he blitzed he got pressure on Anderson. He played a good game in coverage. Remember Zach is the cleanup man so he will get more tackles than Bradie

He is unfairly named here. Pacman is still a work in progress with tramendous upside. he gave up big completions in the preseason but none in the game. He also had a good stop and near INT for a TD.

Not sure if this is fair. It's a bit unfair if Zack Thomas' role has morphed to be the new lead tackler. On the other hand, an inside-LB can't constantly be beaten to the tackle by the "other" inside-backer either. As a Capatain, Bradie needs to do more.:

Keep being "money" on field-gaolas and I'll forgive his kickoffs. If that means more chances at runbacks by opponents, then all I can say is "Hello Keith Davis! :D" (How lucky were we there to get him back, huh?)

Someone please tell Jason Garrett that the honeymoon ended with the big contract he signed. Everyone will want to blame Phillips for this, but most of the "stupid" penalties came from the offense's side of the ball. Romo's INT wasn't pretty either. ;)

I thought Bartel was already cut? How can he be cut again?

They mean from the practice squad this time.

Jones also dropped, what I thought should have been an interception as well.

I swear, the botched kick return was a direct result of a Cleveland player touching Pacman before he tired to catch the ball. This probably broke his concentration and caused him to fumble the ball. I can't believe no one saw this and it wasn't a penalty on Cleveland.

Did any member of the offensive line get out of this game without a penalty called against them? At least Flo got his standard False Start out of the way early.

Id add Kimbo Slice to stock up. I saw one play where he eliminated one man, then was looking for another guy to block, found him and eliminated him w/ a little elbow nudge.

Penalties, almost as familiar a sign of our present day Cowboys as it is seeing Flozell getting whistled for his customary FS.

How does Roy Williams get mentioned in a secondary for pass defense when he was never in there on passing downs?

Nick Folk...What was that kickoff to the 20 yard line?...Crazy

I don't even remember seeing Roy williams yesterday, and his new number.

I guess that's a good thing...

They mixed it up with Roy. He was in there on some passing downs.

As for the kickoff to the 20. That was after TO penalty. (15 yards I believe)

My 11 year old saw that and I didn't. Good catch there.

Folk can kick it into the end zone. We choose for him to put it up high instead. I thought his kickoffs were very good.

Becuase he was in there on passing downs. But you guys just ignore all of that, and just say he was only in there when the Browns ran the ball.

What a moron. What does Cribbs have to do with whether or not Folk got kicks into the endzone or not?

Speaking of having to do better...
