At his press conference, Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said that WR Terrell Owens probably won't practice until next Wednesday and Thursday, based on the fact that he just shed his walking boot and started jogging.


Taking that into account, Phillips expressed little doubt his star playmaker will be ready for kickoff a week from Sunday. The biggest question now is at what level he'll be capable of playing.


For now, based on Owens' past displays of remarkable healing ability, there's optimism surrounding the receiver's status.


"I think pushing off (on the ankle) is the key thing as far as high ankle sprain or any ankle sprain," Phillips said. "I don’t have any doubt about (his toughness), but we’ll have to be careful. We’d like to have him for more than one game too, so you’ve got to be careful there."

thats wut worries me..i mean yeah he can play the first playoff game and give his all...but wut about the next game? its best to have him long term..and not just for the first game....

T.O. is gonna play and play his usual role in the offense. what is with some of you people when players get hurt? nobody ever wants a player to just come back and play. give them a few weeks off or limit game reps.man up!

It's win or go home. If they get a lead, you rest him, otherwise he's a game changer and he needs to be in for every offensive snap.

I don't believe in resting players in the playoffs. There is no resting for next week in the playoffs, unless the game is a blowout, which it won't be. This is what you go through the season taking it easy on hurt players for, at this point, you play em till they drop.
