DMN Blog: Tashard Choice should demand a king's ransom

As far as I am concerned #22 should have never been given out again after Bob Hayes retired!

I don't think Davis has enough bread to buy back numbers.

Years from now people will be saying are you kidding me? Felix Jones was drafted ahead of Teshard Choice. Choice may play Felixcat right off the field as #2 and make Felix a role 3rd down.

MB3 1-20
Choice 8-10
Jones 1-2 more a receiver threat.

The only number I heard would never be given out again is Bob Lily's. Don't know if that is true or not. Many have worn #33 since Dorsett, I think.
Probably never see 12 given out again either.

crickets - lol

Teshard Choice is a hell of a RB from what I have seen.

He doesn't have to...the NFLPA - CBA says that a player with more seniority can claim a number from a player with less seniority In The League. So Killa can certainly claim a number from a rook.

As a matter of common curtesy players normally negotiate for the number...especially with other vets...but not always.

The Cowboys don't retire numbers, so I don't know what the deal is about not giving him 22. Whats the difference between him getting it this year and Jim Bob Jones getting it in 2017?
I hope that was sarcasm.

If you is a rook on the Beagles - they will give you any number you wants...

(as long as it's between 0 and 99)

:D

In 5 years Choice is gonna be elite in the NFL.
I have very high hopes of the kid as well. But as long as the Barbarian is around I don't really think we will see too much of him. Can anyone else see Choice and Jones making a tandem.

This is a 2 back league

MB3 is primary - 1500 yard guy
Choice #2 to get 8/10 carries a game to help wear teams down. He runs real hard and tough to get down.

Felix Cat is #3 - 3rd down scat cat back, WR/Home Run threat out of backfield, screens or motioned wide.

Smart answer. Earlier in the year, there was a public outrage amongst Yankee fans when Latroy Hawkins decided to wear Paul O'Neil's 21.
That was idiotic of them.

Even more idiotic for Hawkins to succumb to it and change to 22.

If the number's not retired, let it be. I also think retiring #'s has gotten out of hand. Put the guy's jersey on the wall forever and let it be available whenever. Not like people will forget you because someone else wore your number.

You beat. Pearson was the man long before Michael was. There are so many greats for the Cowboys you can't retire but so many. Lilly, Staubach and Emmitt are the only ones I know aren't given out. 33 should have been.

Just what i was thinking......and then that would be paying homage to an undrafted free agent......not a "franchise drafted" player all the time......:star:

Frankly, I feel Choice caught a break on this one. I like #23 a whole lot better than #29 for a RB.

I don't 29 is a much better RB number than 23.
