Tony Romo's struggles

Everybody's favorite quarterback, Tony Romo, looked good in the preseason opener at San Diego.
But he hasn't thrown the deep ball well in practice the last few days. During one 11-on-11 drill, Romo was high on a long pass to Terrell Owens and over threw one to MIles Austin and to Owens.
Now, this is not to say we should be worried about Romo. We shouldn't because he's expected to have a strong season.
But, he played one possession last Saturday and might see two maybe three possessions this week at Denver. The team wants to give Brad Johnson some snaps with the first team offensive line. That's fine. We respect that because Johnson needs the work.
Romo is important to this offense too. It was good to see him complete a 2-minute drive at the end of practice on Thursday.
During that 2-minute drill, he had a pass deflected at the line of scrimmage, that turned into a catch by Sam Hurd, misfired on that long pass to Owens in the end zone, while overlooking a wide open Patrick Crayton in the middle of the field. It looked like Romo took a sack as well with 38 seconds to play. The Broncos was complaining about it.
Romo did find Jason Witten with a nice pass in the middle of the field, then snuck into the end zone for the score. Romo spiked the ball after the drill was over.
Good for him. But it will be interesting to see how Romo plays Saturday night.
