And you thought the Cowboys had drama ...

What figures to be a competitive race for the NFC East title hasn't gotten off to a great start elsewhere.

In New York, last week's minicamp was a mess. Plaxico Burress and Jeremy Shockey garnered headlines, and not for the right reasons. Former DMNer Gary Myers says the club needs to get rid of Shockey. And now, before the problem festers further and becomes a training camp distraction.

Meanwhile, Donovan McNabb and others in Philly are trying to downplay a problem the quarterback has in his throwing shoulder. McNabb also threw a nice compliment T.O.'s way.

"We were a team that was right there, and we were right there consistently," he said. "Then when we brought in a guy like T.O., the attitudes kind of shifted. The defense had that extra confidence because we had somebody like T.O. On offense, we had that extra weapon and we knew we had something."

The Commanders have something too -- Injuries. Jim Zorn is just hoping that the PUP list won't have a dozen names on it when training camp opens next week.

The news we've got on your home team today? Well, Todd's got a nice story on the Cowboy rookies going to Canton, Ohio to visit the Hall of Fame. So things aren't so bad around here.

This story is completely false. We are the ones headed for disaster aren't we?

We have a bad boy like TO on the team that should have never been given a three year contract because he is too old and will simply destroy the team.

We made the biggest mistake of the off season by aquiring Adam Jones.

Romo has to many off the field things going on with golf and Jessice that his heart is not in the game.

(My favorite):D We lost our starting RB from last season.

Roy sucks, Ellis is moaning, Zack is a headbut away from being done, and Hamlin isn't signed.

Did I leave anything out?

Anyway, listen to different things and you would think that the Cowboys will be lucky to finish the season at all.

Whatever [insert Philly backup QB] plays, those so-called #3's(whether it's Reggie Brown or Kevin Curtis or Hank Baskett or Jason Avant or LJ Smith or Aaron Schobel, etc, etc), they...all of a sudden...look like PRO BOWLERS when just MERELY someone else from center throws them the ball.(No-it has nothing to do with Reid willing to run the ball more) I found it laughable when Garcia was under center, Schobel just all of a sudden "picked up that West Coast System", after doing almost next to nil when McNabb was throwing the ball.

Why? It's quite simple-McNabb has Bledsoe-tendencies...he holds onto the ball TOO long and gets happy feet quite a bit as well. As bad as AJ Feeley is-at least he did a good job in having a quick release and throwing it into tight seams(ditto Garcia).

Pt being that McNabb can have TO, Moss, Jason Witten, CJ, and the Commanders' Hogs OL-and he'll still find a way to stink it up.

I can't wait to see Pacman and the other new additions on the field to end all this summer crap journalism...
