Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips gave the team a ``Victory Monday'' for the third consecutive week today.

On ``Victory Monday,'' players are expected to do individual workouts and receive treatement as needed, but they can do it at their own schedule.

There are no organized team activities. Preparation for Green Bay begins in full on Wednesday.

Here comes the sky is falling and our coach is a softy crowd.

So basically they still have to come to work but they can do it on their own time?

Yeah, that's how Brooking or Bradie or someone I heard last week was describing it... You still have to do the same work, you just don't have to be there at 9:00 in the morning or whenever they show up. Whoever it was said it basically just gave you an opportunity to take the kids to school or do some errands because it made your schedule more flexible for that day.

But I don't think anyone can complain about a VM this time after a late game coming back from Philly. ;)

Yep I heard spears say they wont get home until about 4:30 am.

Im all about victory monday. the guys deserve a break after wins it give them alittle more to look forward o and work harder towards

I just hope we go to Green bay with an go for the throat mentality. This is a dangerous game. Green bay's season is on the brink, therefore I'm expecting their best effort. Mcarthy and thompson are taking alot of heat from the media and the fans. We can really put a fork in their season Sunday.

I've also read that about 90% of the players are back at work at the same time as they always are on Victory Monday. This week may be different due to their arrival time from Philly last night. But it's a testament to the team's attitude this year.

We can bag on Wade all we want, but he can't MAKE the team want it. No coach can. It's one of the reasons Belichek is so successfu. He seeks these guys out. The self-starters. The self-motivators. He knows in the long run that it makes his job that much easier.

When it all comes down to it, Victory Monday is about "me time". The fact that most of them are back at VR at the same they normally are says a lot about the absence of "me" attitude. I was skeptical about the make-up of this team to begin the year. I'm not going to deny it or hide from it. I also won't deny that this is a much different team (from a mental standpoint) than I expected. This team is different from any that we have seen wear the star for a long, long time. Does that mean that they will hoist the Lombardy Trophy at the end of the year? Of course not. What it DOES mean is that this team has a LEGITIMATE chance for real, this season. That's all we can ask.

This statement epitomizes our recent drafts.

I love Victory Monday. The players are giving up their bodies for Wade, this tells me all I need to know about how the players perceive Wade. keep doing it Wade, it is funny how the peanut gallery ain't talking negatively about Victory Monday. What's next?

When will Wade ever learn? We could've beaten the Eagles by 20 points had we not taken last Monday off.

I won't start complaining until he gives them Victory Week.

I'll man up.

I didn't like the Victory Monday idea. But I can't complain about the results. And that's the bottom line. As long as the team keeps getting positive results, they can have all the Victory Monday's they want and I'll shut up about it.
