Edwards told reporters that he holds Colombo in low esteem.

``I don't know him personally, but as a player I think he's kind of dirty," Edwards told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. ``Does some dirty things. You have to have that fight in you to play this game. I guess that's his way of having that fight in him."

Edwards said that Colombo's tricks include pulling the facemask.

``It happens in the battle of the game,'' Edwards said. ``I'm not a crybaby about it. I'll continue to play. It happens both ways.'

its funny but when people accuse our players of something like playing dirty, instead of feeling like the player is a piece, im actually proud. Messed up I guess.

So Edwards. Are you using you are also a dirty player too and hold yourself in low esteem too? :laugh2:

Riight. Or else you wouldn't have brought it up.

How bad would Edwards have bent Colombo over WITHOUT the dirty play?

How quite would Edwards have been if Colombo was actually healthy in that game? ;)

More motivation for Colombo , as if he needed anything after the embarrasment he suffered against Edwards in that last game. Marc will come to play. There will be couple of pancake slams :)

The Vikings complaining about a team being dirty?

I remember a game against them where a dlineman hit Flozell in the marbles, which naturally wasn't seen by a ref, then switched side for the rest of the game so he could "hide" from Flozell.

That was my reaction too. This is football, I wish all of our D-line and O-line were viewed as nasty, or borderline dirty.

nobody else sees this as ray asking for the refs to watch marc the whole game and call anything they see on him?

im setting the under/over on colombo penalties at 3

None were nastier than Erik Williams. I remember that opposing teams were steaming over his antics every single week. See 1995 NFC Champ game for proof.

I totally remember that game!

I was furious!

Was that the game Emmitt went off in the first half? The Walter Payton rememberance game?

The name John Jurkovic comes to mind.

Guy who grabs facemasks > Guy who sends unsolicited pictures of his 4" *****.

Pot meet kettle....

I can't stand Jared Allen. I loved seeing him get shut down Monday night! :laugh2: I saw him mouthing off to the Jets players.

So was Erik Williams, and I wish we could have him back in 1992-93 form. Who cares if he is dirty.

If it happens both ways Ray, your just as "dirty" as Colombo is...

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Thursday that Colombo is better equipped to take on Edwards this time.

"We've got Colombo back with a lot more reps since his injury and frankly, in a lot better shape than he was as we know now relative to what we saw in surgery," Jones said. "Colombo is in better shape."
