Wade Phillips met the Cowboys' media throng after practice today and addressed a few topics. As one might expect, Pacman Jones was topic A, B and C. Here are some of Phillips' initial thoughts about the Cowboys' new cornerback.

"Pac's in pretty good shape. He's had an interception every day so far, so that's pretty nice. But I think football wise, he's in good shape and I think that helps him," Phillips said.

"It's a learning process certainly, but you can tell his natural skills. We worked him on kickoff return, punt return and, of course, at defensive back.

"It's up to him obviously, we all know that and he knows that. As far as the football part, we're trying to get him ready and I think we will. He's really talented. Until you're around him, you really don't know it. You think so. He's just got a lot of natural instincts. He sees the ball real well. Even when he's playing man-to-man sometimes, he sees the ball thrown and gets a good jump on it.

"He's got a lot of ability and he's fitting in well as far as the team's concerned."

well, if you count pre-season...

Nah, pre-season is meaningless, and come on, we all know the Texans play harder in that game then we do. It's the only time they can beat us, unless QC decides he wants to come back and play some QB

Pac-man seems to be a perfect fit for the Wade style of defense. As long as the pressure comes up front, Pac-man should have a monster year as it concerns INTs.

I dunno people....

Zach helping to stuff the run

Newman closing down his side of the field

Pacman closing down areas of the field

Sounds great... wonder how it actually plays out though
