Phillips will coach the West team in the East-West Shrine game, to be played in Orlando, Fla., on Jan 22. The game pitches college seniors and serves as part of the pre-draft evaluation process.

Dan Reeves will handle the East team. Phillips served as defensive coordinator on Reeves' staffs at Denver and Atlanta.

C'mon, the man has given his heart to the NFL, and done a pretty good Non-headcoach job of things. Dealing with college level aspiring players, he will be a very good influence. As will be Reeves. I like that picture and find it no where offensive, as show casing talent is the key, not winning a Lombardi.

And it's not like he hasn't made any contribution here with Dallas as well...

I thought it was a FUNNY and happy type of post!

Good one! :)

Too bad that game can only attract retread-has-been coaches with little success of late.

lol, so if the entire West team loses the ability to tackle, cover, block or execute, we'll know who to hold responsible.

Good for Wade. He be a D Coordinator in the NFL soon again, I'd bet.

I'd bet the same thing. He has been proving himself in the NFL for longer than most of the pups around here, who take their cheap shots at him, have even been alive.

These same "fans" would have been calling for Landry's head four games into his first season.

Don't forget about false starts and all around soft cuddly pink puffy look of a team.

Those kids will love having their walk-thrus at the Golden Coral buffet.

Chance he's Houston's DC next year?

99.999%?
That's not a bad guess to make, considering his roots and their need for a defensive overhaul.
