There was enough concern about Tony Romo's right ankle to schedule more tests for today.

But Wade Phillips didn't get the results of those tests before his afternoon press conference. Phillips said nobody had indicated to him that Romo's injury is serious, but he didn't have many details. Romo did not need crutches.
Romo suffered the injury during the third quarter and didn't miss a play. It sounds unlikely that the ankle will prevent him from playing Sunday night against the Giants.

However, the injury could have a negative effect on Romo's conditioning. He mentioned during minicamp that he wasn't able to maintain his conditioning last season in part because of a broken pinky finger and ankle and back injuries. Romo considers cardio work and squats to be important parts of his in-season conditioning regimen.

I'd like to see the Cowboys adopt NE's approach when it comes to reporting injuries. Lie through their teeth.

I was thinking the exact same thing, except I am not so sure New England "lies" - they just don't give any info out at all. I mean, ya just gotta listen to a Belichick press conference if you get the chance... They'll be like...

Q: Coach, what the status of the injury to number 33?
BB: Well, it is what it is.
Q: Will he be able to play next Sunday?
BB: That's a decision we will make later.
Q: Are they going to give an MRI?
BB: That's undetermined at this time.
Q: How does he feel?
BB: At this point of the season, everyone is going to feel banged up.

etc, etc....

Ferentz at Iowa does the same thing with injuries. Our starting LT Bryan Bulaga had swine flu and all that got released was "an undisclosed illness". Matter of fact, they both treat the media the same way...as the enemy.

And I'm part of the media here at the University, and I love it. No reason to treat the media like your best friend, because their MAIN job is to get a story, and we all know "if it bleeds, it leads"

He just tweaked it. He'll be fine in 2 days with some ice after practice.

I saw the guy walking in dress shoes carrying his luggage. He was limping. I asked him how he felt, he said "fine."

No biggie. He'll be fine.

I love how you say "he treats the media like crap and I'm in the media and I love it..!!" :D

I think the same phenomenon exists in Boston. The local beat writers have gotten used to it. They essentially admit they know they aren't going to get any answers out of him, but they say they wouldn't be doing their jobs if they didn't ask the questions.

Same reason the Dallas media were so enamoured w/Parcells, they are masochistic by nature. :D

GREAT....CLUELESS WADE SAID IT ISN'T SERIOUS....KISS O' DEATH.....

Also: that's such BS about "not being able to do his conditioning" My God man, get in the pool and work in there: resistance training, laps, etc.....no pressure or stress on the joints and you still get an awesome workout. what a joke.................................
