As we talked about earlier in the day, Dat Nguyen has elected not to return to the Cowboys for a fourth season as the staff assistant/assistant linebackers coach.

"He just felt like he couldn't move up the way he wanted to with us," coach Wade Phillips said. "He wants to coach linebackers himself."

With Reggie Herring on the staff, that wasn't going to happen with the Cowboys. One possible destination could be Buffalo, where he could be reunited with Chan Gailey.

i thought we were going to sign him so people can have someone else to trade.
