So ya think you're better than Matt Mosley?

We're looking for a few good Cowboys columnists to share their opinions on this blog. Interested? E-mail us here. The ground rules are simple. Send us your mugshot in jpeg format. If you are selected, you will be asked to write a column on the Cowboys topic of your choice. Keep the column short -- no longer than seven paragraphs. We'll run your mug with the column online.

After it is posted, our esteemed panel of two will critique it. We may also open it up for comments from the 2,636,349 people who click to this blog every single day.

Keep in mind this blog is not a democracy. Do not whine, complain or vent that you have not been selected. There are no prizes for writing a column other than the pure joy you will bring to millions when it is posted here.

So their criteria for picking a guest columnist is just looking at your picture? No wonder none of these guys can write... Wouldn't it be better to actually read some samples of someone's work before posting it to a blog?

I wouldn't mind readin' your stuff YR. Yakuza's Weekly Stat Column. At least it would be something out of the ordinary. A detailed look at stats folks don't normally bother to monitor would be a fun weekly diversion.

What I don't get is that they say the column should be no longer than 7 paragraphs long. Well, I could write an 8 page column with only 7 paragraphs should I choose to do so.

I think in all my years of high school and college, there was either:

1. Page limit, using a specified font and font size by the teacher

or

2. A word limit.


I've never seen a paragraph limit.
