Eli Manning has a "stress reaction" in his foot as a result of compensating for the plantar fascia he suffered from earlier in the season but Manning has been bothered by it for some time.

DeMarcus Ware has played with a similar injury and not missed a snap.

"It's going to take a whole lot more effort than what we're giving," defensive end Osi Umenyiora said for this Sunday story. The Giants have had some other win-or-else games this year and lost but this one is different because it's an NFC East game. A few weeks back Green Bay played with some desperation and beat the Cowboys at home. I think the Giants have the same feel Sunday.

Vinny DiTrani of the Bergen Record offered up this assessment: Maybe the Giants just aren't good enough.

I'm not penciling this as a W because it's just too early to start thinking the Giants are totally done. If we can beat them we can pretty much put their season on ice but we've got to go in there and beat them.

You know, I can care less what they're saying in New York. I only care what this team says in Dallas. The Giants and their postering should be irrlevant to this team. The injury to Eli Mannning should be irrelvant to this team, just like the national cowboy haters treated Dallas' injuries last year as irrelvant.

The bottom line is that this Cowboys teams is good - better than the Giants, in fact - and for once is not listening to what others are saying. They're playing for each other and supporting one another as a team, and as long as they stick to that and tune out every outside influence, they will handilly beat the Giants.

What I'm hoping to see is a quiet Cwobys team going into this game. The loadmouths in New Yourk - Brandon Jacobs and Antonio Pierce being the loudest idiots of them all - will no doubt cherp about how grerat they are and how they will "own" us. Whatever, it's time this team just let's them talk and instead proves them wrong on the filed. And they can do that by beating them so badly that the demoralizing effect will knock Ney York out of the playoffs - Eli injury and all. To that end, here's to hoping that Pattric Crayton can keep his mouth shut for once.

I'm a bit surprised we have yet to hear any junk from either team. Both teams back to practice and in front of reporters so I doubt it will stay quiet until game time.

I expect both teams to be quiet.

The Giants are in no position to say anything with their record.

The Cowboys are in no position after getting beat so bad by Philly to say anything.

The players will let their talking be done on the field.
