The largest digital video board in human history went dark for a brief period in the second half of Sunday's game at Cowboys Stadium.
What happened? Did Jerry Jones forget to pay the electricity bill?
No. It turns out the company that built the board inputted all of the start times and programmed the board to turn off roughly three hours after the games expire. The Cowboys-Eagles game was originally scheduled to be a noon start but was moved back to 3:15 p.m. Since no one changed the start time in the programming, the board shut down.
The Cowboys staff immediately realized what happened. All it took to get the board back up and running with a push of the buitton.
