Hypothetical: Ramsey is round one pick. Round two we're on the clock and Nkemdiche amd Wentz are on the board. Who do you take???

Listen to Strum

ones off the Cowboy board the other has the potential to solve a lot of needs
My guess however as the draft moves closer Wentz moves into the well first round

I don't see how he doesn't mention CB/S at the top of the list with QB and RB. Carr is gone if he doesn't take a paycut. Claiborne is probably gone if last years CB market is any indication. Then you have Wilcox and Church... B. Jones and Scandrick are the only locks to even be on the roster. That has to be at the top of the needs list.

I think everyone just assumes that. So it's really a "besides cornerback of course, what are our biggest needs?"

I would argue that after cornerback our biggest need is another cornerback.

ESPECIALLY if they view Jones as the long-term FS.

Please stay away from Nkemdiche.

The guy is probably the top prospect in the draft.....if we are sitting @ 1/5....I don't see how we pass. T. Crawford playing 3DT has been a mistake for a long time.... move him back to LDE...and get a real DT.

This thinking makes zero sense. None at all, move Crawford to lde and move Lawrence back to rde after he's found his groove at lde? Ever think that Crawford is getting double teamed a lot? Or even bother to pay attention because I see him getting doubled alot

Yea Crawford is not the problem. I would pull him now and let him get his shoulder fixed. Put Irving at the 3-tech for these last 2 games and see what he's got. Just saw that DT for UCLA - Clark was given a 2nd round grade by NFL. Now that's someone who I would be looking at in round 2. Good run stuffer, put him next to a healthy Crawford and our front is immeasurably better.
A lot of different types of DT's coming out this year, from road graders like A. Robinson and Reed to quick twitch strength like Nkemdiche and Billings. Stout guys like Clark and Washington. Even later round picks like Day from ND or Jones from Mississippi would help. If we do not take one in the first 3-4 rounds I'm going to blow a fuse !
The FO has plenty of options this year ...

Wentz.

Although the potential of our defensive line with Hardy, Lawrence, Gregory AND Nkemdiche is salivating.

The jumping out of a window thing scares me. Also, from what I've watched of Nkemdiche, it seems like he gets a lot of easy penetration into the backfield. It was hard for me to tell if it was because he's really that good, or if it was that he was going up against awful guards that will never sniff the NFL. I'm 50-50 on him. Not sure how I'd feel if he was the pick.

I'm taking Nkemdiche. Not only cause he'd easily be the BPA, but bc I'm not completely sold on Wentz.

I think getting Nkemdiche follows the BPA formula.

Rd 1- FS Jalen Ramsey
Rd 2- DT Robert Nkemdiche
Rd 3- CB Desmond King
Rd 4- RB Jordan Howard
Rd 4(c)- QB Brandon Doughty
Rd 6- DE Lewis Neal

I think when it's all said and done, Nkemdiche will not fall to the second. Maybe the mid-to-late 1st round at worst. And I've seen mocks with King going in the 1st. I don't see any way he falls to the 3rd. Would be a dream if it fell that way though.
