Which moves us to the topic that is on the minds of Cowboys fans and Fantasy Football fans, too. How will the Cowboys work 3 RBs who all appear to have a claim to the job into the mix in 2010? Or asked another way: When will Tashard Choice get his chance?

Choice is brought up time and time again by those who follow this team, and with tremendous reason. When he gets the chance he has proven to be more than capable. His 5.5 yards per attempt last year were over a full yard-per-carry more than Barber (Felix Jones was the true home-run hitter at 5.9). He is now entering year 3 for the Cowboys and it is quickly becoming that time of a man's career where a team must decide whether he is a nice utility man or a possible full time RB.

How many fans can even understand Sturm's article? It requires more attention span, thoughtfulness and intellectual depth than many possess.

Oh his right ups last year were great.

That was an interesting perspective and makes sense.

Although it still does not change the fact that you are using a very talented running back to do a lot of grudge work.

He made a strong point about the physical contact that goes on when a RB takes on the blitz.

I want Felix Jones toting the rock, not banging into linebackers all day.

However, you just can't pull Jones out of the game on every third down, imo.

Jones needs to be catching the ball.

I was disappointed that Dallas didn't move Barber, because Jones and Choice can carry the load (imo) and both have more burst and speed and elusiveness than Barber on his best day. Plus, Jones led the team in average yards after contact. Jones and Choice are both better fits in the offense, imo. Barber was best suited beating up tired defenses in the "closer role", imo. Barber loosing that weight doesn't help him be a power back, imo.

There are some people who like to be critical of Wade Phillips or Jason Garrett.

If you want to be critical, then look no further than how Barber is used and how much he is used.

Barber is the biggest "progress stopper" on the team until the coaches prove otherwise.

I don't get why the Cowboys have stubbornly run a Big Ten back (even to the tune of 8 carries and 14 yards in a playoff game) in Garrett's offense, which counts on explosive plays.

Felix is our best back. Then I'd say Choice. Lastly, Barber.

+1 I definitely agree. And next year Barber is gone unless he has a beyond killer season.

Same here...And most of those 5-10 carries for barber should be saved for later in the game, where his fresh legs and punishing running style have proven to be a mismatch for defenders.

Felix is our best back. Then I'd say Choice. Lastly, Barber.

Felix cant carry the load of a starting NFL running back. Just like how Reggie Bush might be the best back on the saints but he cant carry the football 20 times a game either. Felix is best used as a change of pace back

the best thing to do is to start Felix and Choice and let Barber close. Choice has a zip that Barber doesn't and he's still a great inside runner.
