Wade notes

From what Wade Phillips gave us at his news conference:
-- Phillips said that WR Patrick Crayton was held out of today's practice with the idea he'd practice Tuesday. He did say that the reason the receiver was held out was not precautionary, but simply because "He wasn't ready. It's part of the rehabilitation process. He'll probably practice some tomorrow."
-- CB Anthony Henry's high left ankle sprain's condition is "pretty much the same," according to Phillips. Which is to say that he may, again, be relegated to sub-packages duty against the Packers. Considering that Green Bay has the league's second-ranked passing attack, any improvement on Henry's injury would be a nice bonus.
-- As for WR Terry Glenn, Phillips was asked if he had an update, and he said no. When pressed, he said his update was that "I don't know."

Damn.

When this happened, I figured it'd not go away.

his best chance to get healthy is to hope he does not aggravate it further and have us wrap up homefield adv/1st rd bye before the last game of the season...then they could hold him out that game and he'd have the bye week

Hopefully the extra rest after the GB game will get Henry closer to 100%. If we do beat GB, I'd be tempted to really limit his snaps the rest of the way.

Of course against GB if he's only in in nickle packages, he'll pretty much play the whole game. We'll see plenty of our nickle+dime defenses with all the receivers the Packers like to have on the field.

Don't be too worried. Wade isn't going to give away all the chips. He wants Green Bay to think about who will be covering whom. It's the Belicheat phenomina. don't divulge the injuires, or their extent.

Me too, because when the same thing happened a couple years ago he was never the same. It's not gonna heal with 2 weeks off either. He had exactly 35 days off before he came back and it didn't heal in 5 weeks.

I sure would like to see Austin get a few more touches. Every time he gets the ball the feeling is he's gone for 6!!!:starspin

Thats what I was thinking. Didn't he "start" last week because of that same thing?
