My biggest concern with Campbell is he has a reputation for getting nicked up and not playing through pain. OL in the NFL is a brutal position and you have to be extremely tough to survive.

Gil actuallly expanded on his comment about Campbell the other day. Campbell did not get ONE VOTE for the all conference team. That to me speaks VOLUMES.

Bosworth wasn't a bust.

I don't want this guy on the team. One Marty B is enough.

I hate the scouting combine. It just seems like they look at everything else about a player to determine draft position other than doing a few simple things:

1. watch some film
2. ask the coach if he's a good kid

You willing to spend a 1st rounder on that experiment?
Yes, I am. I think he is more suited to DE than he is OT. He is quick, muscular, has long arms and height. If the knock on him is that he loses focus on blocking assignments then it makes sense that he would keep focus on attacking.

He is not who I want in round 1, but I won't whine and moan.

He needs to lose 30 more pounds.

I want to focus this Draft on Offense though.

OL
Return game for field position

Those are my keys to the next hurdle.

another Mike Mammula? didn't Gil Brandt bring up a good point that he didn't look all that on tape and if he's so good why isn't he named to conference anything.

I see red flag here. My first round pick needs to be BOTH productive and has good upside. I don't draft potential only in the 1st round. That's for 3 rounder and down.

Could be draft posturing too....pretend to be interested this early. Get other teams thinking about it....he gets drafted higher, and the player you really like, drops one more slot.

I agree, there is a big difference. I never considered Bosworth as falling into that category, though.

Bosworth was a heck of a LB before his shoulders gave in. Yea he got runned over by Bo Jackson, but who didn't ?

Take away all the flair and act, and he was a very, very good football player.

And believe me, being a Nebraska fan it's not easy for me to say that..

Not " could be "... it IS..

About the only player during the Jerrah era that I've heard the Cowboys were interested in and was actually true is Felix Jones. Not after the fact, did I hear the Cowboys true interest in a player. With Aikman, the rumor was Barry Sanders or " the incredible bust "...err " Hulk ", aka: Manderich. Emmitt was completely out of the left field. Russell Maryland wasn't even the first option ( Rocket was ).. and on and on and on..

While I think they'd be thrilled if Iupati falls to them, I don't believe they think he will, so they have something else up their sleeves that they're keeping " wevy wevy wevy quiet ", to quote Elmer.

I suspect Dallas likes other OL.

We generally like fat OL with mean streaks, not pretty boys with 6 packs.

Besides all this best body stuff makes me think of Halle Berry or Raquel Welch not some OL.
