You would hope with the season on the line and all that, Marinelli might offer a little insight as to how to beat Lovies scheme. But the way this season has gone I'm expecting Winston to have a career day.

I expect us to start fast and then hold on for dear life until the 4th quarter where a huge mistake will cost us. Again.

I haven't decided if it's going to be a defensive screwup though. We've had all three phases cost us games.

The way our season is going Rod will turn in his application to Smith at halftime.

Sadly, I'd be fine with that lol

IRVING -- Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith and Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli share a lot when it comes to football, including, apparently, players.

Smith and Marinelli coached together in Tampa Bay from 1996 to 2000 and in Chicago from 2009 to 2012. As a result, they run a very similar defensive system.

When a trio of Cowboys defenders -- linebacker Bruce Carter, defensive lineman Henry Melton, and cornerback Sterling Moore -- entered free agency last offseason, Tampa Bay scooped them up. While Smith said he an Marinelli didn't share notes regarding the players, he admitted that the former Cowboys' familiarity with the defensive system did play a factor in the team picking them up.

"That's a part of the process as you evaluate who you should go on," Smith said. "It helps when you do know the system and you're a step ahead. That's definitely what we've been able to get."

The way the past two games against Philly and New York has gone concerning former players, Carter or Moore will probably return an interception for a game-winning TD.

It would not surprise me if Hardy is signed by the Bucs next year if Jerry does not resign him.

It's pretty sad when another teams "full of trash roster", with a rookie QB, plays better than our "all star roster". What a train wreck this season has been.....

If the final analysis on Sunday results in questionable coaching against TB....then our staff is stupid, arrogant, or both. TB secondary sucks. If Mike Jenkins has a good day against TWill or Dez.....Cassell, JG and the other headphones should be taken to the woodshed immediately.

They can have a whole bunch more of them this offseason too.

May be they can take Marinelli with them , playing the corners 10 yards off and also DL too aggressive with no Run containment.
