Ok thanks, but I remember him saying he didn't want to come to Dallas. Hopefully, he's not a spy for the 9ers.

I swear the forcing myself to eat is why I enjoy food now, but at the time I could seriously hate eating.
You are not kidding. I've lost quite a bit of weight this year because of a real bad infection I got right after Thanksgiving last year. The Doctor put me on a strict zero carbs diet for 4 months. That sucked. I got off the no carbs, ate a hamburger and fries and promptly put on 2 pounds. Not even joking either. He wants me to lose 35 more pounds, but I'd like to lose about 40 to 50 more.adbutcher;2096801 said:So true! If I could only stoke the furnace now the way I use to. Now I can eat a fry and gain 10 lbs where as then if I skipped one meal all of the hard work to gain weight would go down the drain.

A 3 year old son? Who told him he could have a life?

That was great stuff. "Love The Proving Ground."

Carb loading ruining me too. Potatoes, pancakes, honey, and spaghetti BLASTED pre-game meals!Hostile;2096810 said:You are not kidding. How do you keep it off once it is off though? Once you've cycled your body like we have it just responds to that. It's like it knows it is time to add some weight and just does it.
I would have loved to have skipped eating from time to time when I was playing. Especially carbs. I had no idea why the coaches were loading me up on carbs all the time. Now I know. I ate more baked potatos when I was playing than I care to remember. I still like them, but damn!

I was being very facetious amigo.
Pancakes? That is a new one on me. Makes sense though. Did you do a lot of white bread with honey? We did. Never wheat. Now I know that it's because the fiber cancels out the carbs. I still hate white bread. Especially Wonder bread.adbutcher;2096840 said:Carb loading ruining me too. Potatoes, pancakes, honey, and spaghetti BLASTED pre-game meals!

adbutcher;2096674 said:How about the feeling of just wanting sleep instead of eating? Even though you knew that if you skipped a meal you will probably loose 10 -15 lbs during practice and risk dying of heat exhaustion. Two a days was a pain in arse but around August, every August I still miss it. My wife says because I am midly deranged, hard to argue that, lol.
No doubt on that. You know that had to murder on the metabolism. Looking back I just shake my head. Shows how bad we wanted to play.adbutcher;2096865 said:GAWD I hate white bread too. I am telling it is amazing that my entire team didn't have type ii diabetes.
I smell a class action suite, lol.
That is why I quit coaching. I was like an addict. I already have insomnia. Add in pre-game stress to that.davidyee;2096880 said:...think about getting into coaching to rid yourself of that "itch".
That's what I did and it seems to help.
The problem is that's all I think about 24/7.

My wife never saw me when it wasn't dark.adbutcher;2096941 said:Very true! And I know it droved your wife nuts! Mine told me flat out, you are done, no more or else, lol.

I loved it, but I sacrificed too much to do it.
adbutcher;2096940 said:When I was in KS I coached at a NAIA school and I had the best time ever. If wasn't for my wife I would still be coaching. Also, I wouldn't have passed up the chance to play Arena II.
