He's an arrogant jerk. I've told this story before.

I saw him out on a date one time. He was the QB of the Cardinals. Took his date to Denny's, although in his defense it was rather late. Not much else would have been open.

He was telling the girl how great he was and he said at one point, "I'm kind of surprised no one is asking me for my autograph."

I said, "that's because you suck."

And after the first time I read this I think I posted about Plummer doing a commercial for a Boise car dealer. He sounded like he could barely remember his lines. And he wasn't exactly trying to read Shakespeare, either. I got the impression he isn't a very bright guy.

Who would've thought that we'd miss Matt Mosley? At least he was semi-serviceable.

Imagine if the DMN had a Cowboys blogger like this one for the Seahawks -- http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/

Some examples of his posts that blow away anything ever posted on the DMN's sophomoric blog --

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/?title=colts_do_what_they_do_to_the_extreme

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/?p=6957&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/?p=7114&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/?p=6387&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

I said after Mosley left that the DMN should try to hire Mike Sando. Instead, we get this doofus Tim MacMahon.

wow. A football blog talking about football? Who would have thunk.

The new guy for the dmn is terrible, and mosely was a notch above terrible.

It is a pretty informative blog when Archer posts though.

our blog hasnt even mentioned the stewart hiring yet?

That would be absolutely fantastic Adam but I guess that's too much to ask.

After spending the afternoon reading CZ.......MacMahon has this to say.

Things I learned today

1) Jake Plummer would not be a good fit as the Cowboys' backup QB.

2) Not-so-subtle sarcasm can be an ineffective way of communicating.

I would like to see Jake Plummer here in Dallas, why?, because he could help the development of Tony Romo and he could be a valueable back-up if Romo goes down.

No no no no no. I don't want Plummer anywhere near Romo.

We have plenty of asst. coaches for that. Call up Cutler and ask how much Plummer helped him in Denver last year.

Jake Plummer=more mobile Drew Bledsoe

Mobile Bledsoe? I cannot comprehend that... it hurts my head. Bledsoe... Mobile?

I just can't fit those two words together in my mind at the same time.

It's like lean pork... it just doesn't make sense.

lets see
-1 for taking a date to dennys
-5 for being full of it

Who would've thought that we'd miss Matt Mosley? At least he was semi-serviceable.

I've thought for a long time Mosely was the worst reporter/writer at DMN. He was unprofessional, couldn't write, thought he was funny when he wasn't, and rarely backed up his opinions (which he often treated as fact) with actual facts or logic. Then again, I wasn't surprised he was hired by ESPN since that's the landscape over there.

Unfortunately, MacMahon has somehow managed to be worse than Mosely. I'm guessing he'll be reading lips on weekly basis to further drive home this point.

Sign Jake "The Snake" Plummer!!!

The Denver Post reports that Jake Plummer's agent said he doesn't think the bushy-bearded Broncos reject QB wants to retire.

The Cowboys need to sign this guy.

OK, he's no good. Sure, he might create some tension in the locker room, considering that he has said that he will not be a backup. And he's got a rep for being a jerk to the press.

But "The Snake" has done something no other active quarterback has accomplished. He's won an NFL playoff game at Texas Stadium.

Has Denver even cut Plummer yet? Will they cut him or hope to trade him? There is no way any team should trade for him. I would not even sign him. He has proven nothing in 10 years. The best move Parcells and Jerry made was not to sign him in 2003 when he was available.
