Ware vs. T.O.
We just got done with a little debate in the Valley Ranch media room: Will T.O. have more touchdowns than DeMarcus Ware has sacks this season?

I went with T.O. and was outvoted, 3-1.

I put the over-under on Ware's sacks at 13.5 yesterday and am sticking to that as my prediction. T.O. had 13 touchdowns last season and dropped at least two more (a third is debatable about whether it counts as a drop).

My official prediction: T.O. will overcome his OTA absences with a 15-TD season, breaking the immortal Frank Clarke's team record for a receiver (great trivia question).

Feel free to weigh in on this very important issue.

Great debate. I would have taken TO also. It's hard to buy we are a good QB sack producing D until I see it with my own eyes. I've been waiting for over 10 years now. Not that I doubt Ware will produce. TO proved he could put up the numbers last year. I'd have to go with the proven producer.

i think ware will outdue t.o by a real small margin like two or three...with garrett i think witten and fasano take some tds away from t.o...i say t.o ends with 11 tds and ware ends with 14.5 sacks. im thinkin that with ellis, spencer and spears and the lineman under wade philips the sack total will be seperated among them more evenly due to their talent so ware only does a lil better then last year

T.O. may put up 20 TD's this year.

Remember... he dropped a few and we didnt get him the ball LIKE WE WILL THIS YEAR.

Yes, very intereting debate. I'm going with 14 for TO and 16 for Ware.

I'll take Ware with more sacks. It was close last year, a more aggressive defense this year pushes him past an aging TO.

Sorry TO fans I know that probably hurt you real bad. ;)

That would be nice... 20 or 23 sacks for Ware breaking Strahan single season record...

What's it going to be then, eh?

We do play Green Bay, so hopefully Favre will lay down for DeMarcus as well.

Didn't Harvey Martin have 23 or 24 sacks before it became an offical stat?

I'll put Ware at 15 sacks, TO at 11 TD Catches.

Witten will get more passes his way in the red zone and take away TDs from TO, and Julius will get into the end zone more often.

I do too, because I know TO can score and I have been starving for a pass rusher to be feared and who puts up unreal numbers.

Although our offense put up some really good offense numbers, it just seemed too often that we failed to do much against a few of the better teams. While part of the problem could be attributable to breakdowns at various times on our OL, playcalling, rookie QB mistakes, dropped passes & lack of creativitiy could also be a factor.

If our OL is better & Garrett able to use our playmakers more effectively, it stands to reason we can also score more points. I'd bet we will put up at least 12 more TDs, hopefully most come against the better teams in games we need to win. I think TO catches 3 more will lot less drops, Glenn's TD production goes up another 2, Witten ups his total by 4 with Julius Jones adding 6 to his total & Crayton also gets at least 2 TDs. Hopefully Austin & Hurd can contribute in the TD derby as well. That's an increase of 17 TDs but the difference between this 17 and my project of 12 comes at the expense of MBIII who scores 5 less TDs.

As for TO vs Ware, I believe Ware records at least 15 sacks but TO ups his TD scoring by 2 TDs over last season.

If Wade does his job, Ware should win by a couple.

I actually wouldn't mind TO winning it because it would mean a couple things.

A) he wasn't kicked off the team.

B) Romo must have played fairly well.

For Jones to get the tds you guys are predicting, he will have to have the dline fall down and just let him through like in the Saints game last year. He couldn't find a hole last year to save his life, and I doubt he ever sees the field inside the 20...

Interesting topic. Well, TO had 13 TDs last year with a broke hand and Bledsoe on his back for quite a few games. He will easily get 13-14 TDs in a healthy season with Romo feeding him the ball.

The question is will Ware get that many sacks. I figure it will be real close. With Wade's attacking D, Ware should be in the 13-14 sack area pretty easy.
